Linda Frances Darnell Patterson, 85, of Allen, formerly of Whitesboro, passed away on Monday, May 11, 2026. She was born on October 19, 1940, to Garrett and Ellen (Turpin) Darnell.

Linda was a devoted mother, and grandmother, who loved her family deeply. She was especially proud of her daughter, Cassie, and the lives her grandchildren were building. Linda was known as a no-nonsense kind of person who spoke her mind, stood her ground, and loved fiercely.

She is survived by her daughter, Cassie Ann Robertson and partner, Bob; grandson, Robert Wayne Robertson and wife, Maggie; granddaughter, Caylie Ann Robertson and partner, Noah Sheehan; great-granddaughters, Kaelee, Teighan, and Becklee Robertson; brothers, Robert Darnell, John Darnell and wife, Linda, and Lyndell Darnell and wife, Georgia; sister, Macel Culifer; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Garrett and Ellen Darnell; brothers, Gary Darnell and Gene Darnell; and sister-in-law, Nancy Darnell.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at Dixie Baptist Church in Whitesboro, officiated by Rev. Terry Barnett.
