Travis Bradley Wagnon

Travis Bradley Wagnon was born on October 31, 1951, in Amarillo, Texas, to Jesse Layfette Wagnon and Molly Ruth Womble. When people commented that he was a Halloween baby, he would often say, “Yes, but I was a treat, not a trick, for my mother.”

Known as Brad to family and friends, he died at home in Sadler, Texas, on May 22, 2026, after a long and hard-fought battle with COPD. He often urged others, “Stop smoking—look what it does to you.”

Brad had a long career in commercial contracting and built and ran a successful commercial roofing company in Dallas.
After retiring to the Lake Texoma area in 2006, he continued to enjoy one of his greatest passions—fishing for striper, sand bass, and catfish with Janet.

Brad is survived by his loving wife, Janet; his sister, Tana Schot of Nashville; his son, Rob Wagnon of Murphy; his daughter-in-law, Robyn; his grandson, Collin; and his son, Matt Wagnon of Tyler, granddaughter, Natalie Perkins and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his son, Ryan Wagnon of Breckenridge.

Brad spent his final days surrounded by his loving wife and family. He was looking forward to reuniting in heaven with Ryan and his parents.

His cremains will be interred at Elm Branch Cemetery in Bardwell, Texas, in the Gailey family plot at a later date.
