Dena Kay Cravens, 52 of Gordonville, Texas, departed from this life April 25, 2026, after a quiet battle with cancer.

She was born Jan. 31, 1974, the fourth child of Weldon and Kay Cravens.

Dena graduated from Collinsville High School in 1992 and attended Grayson County College. 

Dena enjoyed a simple life. She worked hard as a single mom and loved her friends and family dearly.

Her greatest joy in life came from her daughter Paisley.

They enjoyed spending evenings with their animals, going out to eat, shopping and short trips to fun destinations.

Dena was employed by West Bay Casino, where she leaves behind a great group of friends.

Dena will be missed by all who knew her, but definitely not forgotten.

She was a kind soul, a loving mother, sister and friend.

She is survived by her daughter, Paisley, of the home.

Her brother Derek and wife Diann of Whitesboro; nephews Russell Turner, Wyatt and Lucus Willeford; brother-in-law Josh Willeford; many aunts, an uncle, cousins and group of classmates with whom she remained closely in contact with. 

Dena was preceded in death by her mother and father; sister Dedra; sister Diane; and grandparents Lonnie and Bessie Cravens and Fay and Euel Mitchell.

No services are planned at this time.

Her classmates are planning a reunion in her honor in July.
