Mikel Lee “Pete” Pilcher, 81, of Collinsville, Texas was called to his heavenly home on Thursday, Nov. 13, 2025.
Pete was born on July 11, 1944 in Collinsville, Texas to Luther William and Elsie Pearl (Robeson) Pilcher. He graduated from Collinsville High School and then went to work for Texas Instruments in Sherman and worked there for over 42 years.
On June 26, 1963 he married his high school sweetheart, Evelyn Watkins, and they were married for 43 years prior to her passing in 2006.
Pete was a loving family man who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, he was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. He was a very good mechanic and spent his free time working on the cars of his family and friends. Pete loved riding horses and going fishing. He was a true and loyal friend to all who knew him.
He is survived by his daughter, Tammy Harrell and fiancé Steven Lidster of Collinsville; daughter, Tricia Pilcher of Moab, Utah; grandsons, Alton James Huckaby and wife, Adrianne of Wylie; Dusty Harrell and wife, Tegan of Collinsville; seven great-grandchildren, sister, Billie Watts and husband, Pat of Runaway Bay; sister, Bonnie Patterson and husband, Ricky of Collinsville, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Pete was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Pilcher, his parents, Luther and Elsie Pilcher, son, Mikel Pilcher, and two brothers, Wayne Pilcher and Ricky Pilcher.
Graveside services honoring Pete were held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2025 at Collinsville Cemetery, officiated by Ricky Patterson.
