Dee Juanita McDonnell, 96, of Whitesboro, Texas passed away on August 25, 2025 at Ranch Care Cottage in Sherman, Texas. 

She was born on March 29, 1929 in Sherman, Texas. Juanita graduated from Whitesboro ISD and TWU Denton. 

She was a retired teacher from Crutchfield ISD in Sherman, Texas. 

Juanita was married to George Clinton McDonnell until his passing. She was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church in Whitesboro, Texas and loved her church family. Juanita loved to cook, attend church and play dominos. 

Juanita is survived by son, Clint McDonnell of Whitesboro, Texas; sister, Bobbie Stevens of Richardson, Texas; grandchildren, Lacey Shelton and husband, Brian of San Antonio, Texas and Justin McDonnell and wife, Jessica also of San Antonio, Texas; great-grandchildren, Blakely, Hayes, Emma, Brandon and Addy.

Preceded in death by husband, George Clinton McDonnell, parents and sister.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2025 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Meador Funeral Home, Hwy 377, Whitesboro, Texas. Graveside service will be held at Oakwood Cemetery, Whitesboro at 10:00am on Friday, August 29, 2025 with Rev. Rick Carney presiding.
