Bertha Louise Mills passed away at the age of 84, on April 25, 2025 in Pilot Point, Texas. 

She was born on November 15, 1940 to Bertie and Jasper Roberts in Collinsville, Texas at her family homestead. 

Louise worked as a lunch lady in the Collinsville and Whitesboro schools and for more than 2 decades as a cook in local cafes. 

She was an incredible softball player and played for many years in different women’s teams. She loved autobiographies and her knowledge of old Hollywood was astounding. 

She loved crossword puzzles, game shows, animals, garage sales, thrift stores and sending greeting cards to every person she knew, for every possible occasion. 

She was honest, loyal and funny and the love she had for her family was unmatched. She will be forever missed by everyone who knew and loved her. 

Her final resting place is Mt. Zion Cemetaery in Collinsville, Texas. 

Pallbearers are Chuck Mills, Christy Mills, Carrie Mills, Larry Bellamy, Johnny Shelby and Ethan Moncrief. 

A memorial service and reception will be held on May 5 at 11 am at the First Baptist Church in Collinsville, Texas. A direct burial was held by Fisher Funeral home of Denison, Texas.
