On Wednesday, Oct. 28, the GFWC History Club of Whitesboro delivered baskets of snacks to the local Police Department and Fire Department/EMS in appreciation of their service.

Officer Turner accepted the basket on behalf of the Police Department, and Captain Meeks accepted the basket for the Fire Department/EMS.

The History Club is grateful to the community’s first responders for their dedication, bravery and commitment to keeping the community safe. Thank you for all you do for Whitesboro!

The General Federation of Women’s Clubs is an international organization dedicated to improving local communities through volunteer service. GFWC members are community leaders who advocate for domestic violence awareness and prevention programs and efforts to support children. Volunteers work locally to impact their communities by supporting the arts, preserving natural resources, advancing education, promoting healthy lifestyles, and encouraging civic involvement.
