Pirates named to State Team
The Collinsville Pirate football team is well represented on the recently announced Blue Bell/Texas Sports Writers Association’s Class 2A players of the year.
Senior Reed Patterson was named First Team Defensive Back.
Senior Logan Jenkins was named Second Team Quarterback.
Junior Garrett Trevino was named Third Team Linebacker.
Rylan Newman and Nick Cox both received Honorable Mention nods.
Newman among the wide receivers and Cox as a center.
Tioga junior Cason Serna garnered Second Team honors as a guard.

Lady Rams win bi-district
The S&S Lady Rams coasted by Dallas Madison with a 59-27 in to take the Bi-Distirct Title Monday night in Denton.
Maleeya Stanford led the Ram attack with 19 points as the Lady Rams
Brenna Howard had 14 points.
Marlee Howard totaled nine points.
Sela Winborne offered six points.
The win took S&S to 19-13.
They will face Pottsboro in the area round 7 p.m. Friday night at Denison High School.
