Lady Bearcats stay unbeaten in district
The Whitesboro Lady Bearcats remained undefeated in District 8-3A play with a 25-17, 25-18, 25-17 victory against Boyd.
Whitesboro (29-6, 2-0) hosted Pilot Point on Tuesday, while Boyd (14-13, 0-2) hosted Valley View. Results were not available as of press time.
Lady Rams sweep Bells in district play
In Sadler, Bella Bennett had 12 kills and six digs as the Lady Rams beat Bells, 25-8, 25-18, 25-15, in district play.
Ryleigh Carr finished with 11 kills and seven digs, Brady Clark put down nine kills, Lola Morrow added seven kills, Rylee Garrison handed out 34 assists to go with 11 digs and Hannah Foster totaled 14 digs and three aces for S&S (21-8, 3-2), which plays at Gunter on Tuesday.
Bells, which dropped to 0-5 in district play, hosts Blue Ridge on Tuesday.
Lady Tigers roll past Sam Rayburn
In Whitewright, Demi Lewis had 14 kills and 10 digs as the Lady Tigers earned a 25-7, 25-10, 25-15 victory against Sam Rayburn in district play.
Aubrey Pettit handed out 22 assists to go with five aces and Julianne Trotter added 10 digs and four aces for Whitewright (23-10, 1-1), which traveled to Tioga on Tuesday.
Sam Rayburn (9-17, 0-2) hosted Tom Bean on Tuesday. Results were not available as of press time.
Tioga remains unbeaten in district
In Collinsville, the Lady Bulldogs earned a 25-18, 25-15, 25-20 victory against Collinsville in district action.
Tioga (28-8, 2-0) hosted Whitewright on Tuesday.
Jaydee Matlock had 12 kills, Ali Patterson added nine kills and 12 digs, Paige Davidson handed out 22 assists to go with 11 digs, Abbie Gamblin collected 17 digs and Bailey Miller chipped in eight digs for Collinsville (18-12, 1-1), which traveled to Lindsay on Tuesday.

Lady Tomcats fall to Lindsay
In Lindsay, the Lady Tomcats lost to Lindsay, 25-7, 25-11, 25-15, in district action.
Tom Bean (12-17, 0-2) played at Sam Rayburn on Tuesday, while Lindsay (24-6, 2-0) hosted Collinsville. Results were not available as of press time.

Tioga opens district with sweep
Kyndall Whitley had 13 kills and seven digs as the Tioga Lady Bulldogs began District 10-2A play with a 25-12, 25-15, 25-15 victory against Sam Rayburn.
Sadie Bates totaled seven kills, 16 assists and six digs, Kennedy Slay and Lindsay David each put down six kills, Ella Norwood finished with 12 assists and 11 digs and Maddy Schon collected eight digs for Tioga (27-9, 1-0), which played at Collinsville on Friday.
Sam Rayburn (9-16, 0-1) traveled to Whitewright on Friday.
Lady Pirates win district opener
In Collinsville, Jaydee Matlock had 15 kills and seven digs as the Lady Pirates opened District 10-2A action with a 25-20, 25-12, 25-19 victory against Tom Bean.
Ali Patterson totaled 10 kills and six digs, Cali Light added nine kills, Paige Davidson handed out 36 assists to go with six digs and three aces and Abbie Gamblin collected 10 digs for Collinsville (18-11, 1-0), which hosted Tioga on Friday.
Tom Bean (12-16, 0-1) hosted Lindsay on Friday.
Whitewright drops district opener
In Lindsay, Demi Lewis had eight kills as the Lady Tigers opened District 10-2A play with a 25-16, 25-16, 25-16 loss against Lindsay.
Julianne Trotter totaled seven kills and 11 digs, Aubrey Pettit handed out 17 assists, Kendall Sharpe collected eight digs and Leah Dawson added seven digs for Whitewright (22-10, 0-1), which hosted Sam Rayburn on Friday.
Lindsay (24-6, 1-0) played at Tom Bean on Friday.
Lady Cardinals sweep S&S
In Pottsboro, the Lady Cardinals earned a 27-25, 25-22, 25-15 victory against S&S in district action.
Pottsboro (9-12, 2-2) played at Blue Ridge on Friday.
Bella Bennett had 10 kills, Ryleigh Carr added six kills and Lola Morrow totaled five kills for S&S (20-8, 2-2), which hosted Bells on Friday.
Gunter rolls past Bells
In Bells, Gunter earned a 25-14, 25-12, 25-6 victory against the Lady Panthers in district play.
Gunter (20-16, 4-1) had the district bye on Friday before hosting S&S on Tuesday.
Bells, which dropped to 0-4 in district play, traveled to S&S on Friday.
Lady Tigers fall to Paris, Saint Jo
The Whitewright Lady Tigers dropped non-district matches against Paris and Saint Jo before opening district play.
Against Paris, Demi Lewis and Julianne Trotter each had 10 kills, while Aubrey Pettit handed out 36 assists to go with 10 digs and three aces. Piper Morrison added four kills and a block and Kendall Sharpe collected 10 digs. Whitewright middle school continues strong district run
The Whitewright Middle School volleyball teams continued their strong season with wins against Sam Rayburn and Tioga, while the 7B Lady Tigers also went 3-1 at a tournament in Sherman.
Against Sam Rayburn, the 7B Lady Tigers won, 25-2, 25-8, as Lily Hughes served 21 consecutive points and finished with 15 aces and three assists. The victory improved Whitewright to 4-1 overall and 1-1 in district play.
The 7A squad improved to 9-0 overall and 2-0 in district with a 25-8, 25-9 victory. Selleck Bearss totaled 14 aces, five assists and two kills, while Addie Pinder added four kills and a block.
Whitewright’s 8A team improved to 8-1 overall and 2-0 in district with a 25-14, 23-25, 15-7 victory. Charlotte Gudgel handed out 13 assists and added three aces, while Riley Smith had six kills and three aces.
The 7B Lady Tigers followed that performance by going 3-1 at a B-team round-robin tournament Sept. 26 at Sherman Middle School. Whitewright defeated Sherman Middle School, Piner Middle School and Greenville, with its only loss coming against Gunter. Volleyball Article - Sep 29

Whitewright returned to district play Monday with a pair of victories at Tioga. The 7A Lady Tigers won, 25-7, 25-6, behind 13 aces and two kills from Pinder and eight aces from Tatum Davis. Bearss added two aces and two assists. Volleyball Article - Sep 29
