Locally owned home health agency celebrates over three decades of service

Author: Jessica Edwards

Whitesboro - Pilot Point Home Health has provided compassionate, community-based care throughout the Texoma area since October 1992. Founded by Amy Jones-Goedecke, the agency first opened as Pilot Point Home Health in Pilot Point, Texas, making it one of the longest-standing home health agencies in North Texas.

The company began with a simple but meaningful goal: to build a team of caregivers who genuinely desired to serve others. Its mission was to help every patient maintain independence, dignity and comfort while receiving care through illness, injury, or recovery.

That vision became the foundation for continued growth. Over the years, the organization expanded to include its Oklahoma sister agency, Marshall County Home Health, as well as A.L.L. Care Home Services, which serves individuals and families in both Texas and Oklahoma.

Although the organization has grown, it remains family-owned and -operated. Guided by traditional Christian values, the company believes every person deserves the opportunity to remain safely and independently in their own home for as long as they desire and can do so.

Today, the Texas agency operates in Whitesboro under the name Whitesboro Pilot Point Home Health. The organization proudly retains the Pilot Point name as a tribute to its beginnings and to the community that helped shape the company into what it is today.

The agency’s leadership also reflects its local roots. Administrator Amanda Ball, RN, is a graduate of S&S Consolidated Independent School District, and Assistant Administrator Becky Scorsone is a graduate of Whitesboro High School. Their connection to the area strengthens the company’s commitment to the patients, families and communities it serves.

Whitesboro Pilot Point Home Health currently serves Cooke, Collin, Grayson, Denton and Fannin counties. Marshall County Home Health extends the organization’s service area into Oklahoma, providing care in Atoka, Bryan, Marshall and Johnston counties. Additionally, the company is contacted with the Veterans Administration which allows them to serve the veteran population.

The agency was just named Best of Texoma Home Health Agency. The recognition is especially meaningful because it reflects the trust and support of the communities the organization has served for more than three decades.

The company also earned a 100% score during its most recent state survey, demonstrating its continued commitment to quality, compliance and excellent patient care.

“We are incredibly proud of how much our agency has grown, but we have never forgotten why we started,” said Ball. “Home health is about more than providing nursing or therapy services. It is about building relationships, supporting families and helping people remain safely in the homes and communities they love. Being recognized as a Best of Texoma finalist is an honor because this community is the reason we are still here after all these years.”

As Whitesboro Pilot Point Home Health looks toward the future, its mission remains the same: to provide excellent, compassionate care while treating every patient with dignity, kindness and respect.
