Haltom Buffalo Stampede
In Fort Worth, Whitesboro earned a pair of podium finishes in the 6A-5A divisions at the Haltom Buffalo Stampede, with the Lady Bearcats placing second and the Bearcats taking third.
The Whitesboro girls finished with 56 points, five behind champion Keller Central.
Nya Degraffenreed led the Lady Bearcats with a fourth-place finish in 20:28.09. Karen Melchor was sixth in 21:08.59, Loretta Vawter seventh in 21:34.91 and Tammy Lopez 12th in 22:04.88. McKenna Scoggins finished 27th in 23:56.78 and Melody Hendricks was 28th in 24:06.88.
The Bearcats finished third with 90 points behind Keller Central (63) and Pilot Point (71).
Jaxsen McBride led Whitesboro with a fifth-place finish in 17:26.44. Bentley Meals was 16th in 18:16.57, Slade Prock 21st in 18:33.89, Eric Flores 22nd in 18:35.58 and Creede Newman 26th in 18:41.19. Chase Timulson was 47th in 20:22.10 and Jaxon Pettinga 55th in 21:34.94.
S&S, Collinsville win Ram Run titles
The S&S girls and Collinsville boys captured team championships at the fourth annual Coach Brannan Ram Run.
The Lady Rams won with 34 points, followed by Pottsboro with 36 and Callisburg with 45.
Dandree Meeks led S&S with a fifth-place finish in 13:21.62. Ayvah Gentry was 14th in 14:40.83, Kenzi Perry 17th in 14:58.18, Janet Chavez 30th in 16:44.37, Hope Everett 32nd in 17:23.36 and McKinley Hollingsworth 33rd in 17:37.60. Abigail Brubaker was 35th in 18:50.77 and Chloe Pelzel 38th in 19:13.44.
Collinsville’s Zoey Kays placed eighth in 14:03.11, followed by Genesi Valadez in 19th at 15:24.85, Tucker Fairman in 23rd at 15:53.72 and McKinley Wright in 27th at 16:33.76.
Bells’ Teagan Middleton was ninth in 14:04.45 and Ava Shirley placed 22nd in 15:41.47.
On the boys side, Collinsville edged S&S, 29-31, for the team championship.
Fernando Perez led the Pirates with a runner-up finish in 17:28.10. Jayden Hernandez was fourth in 17:46.90, Isaac Dewey fifth in 18:14.21 and Jose Ramirez sixth in 18:23.24. River Whisenant placed 12th in 19:20.50 and Grady Tadlock was 15th in 20:17.71.
S&S had the individual champion as Rhody Gingras won in 17:19.61. Donaven Gingras was third in 17:33.79, Matthew Flores eighth in 18:36.04, Kevin Flores Valenzuela ninth in 18:37.58 and Ruben Chavez Gomez 10th in 18:43.46. Tanner Scoggins placed 18th in 20:52.91 and Aiden Hickerson was 20th in 21:50.69.
Bells’ Kasson Bradshaw placed 14th in 19:50.14 and Sam Shirley was 17th in 20:45.37.
Gerald Richey Invitational
In Arlington, the Whitewright boys placed 10th with 301 points at the Gerald Richey Invitational hosted by UT Arlington.
Jonathan Flores led the Tigers with a 39th-place finish in 18:00.3. Logan Vehar was 54th in 18:26.1, Luke Mortensen 67th in 18:46.1, Bobby Reynolds 75th in 18:59.7, Jack Philpott 80th in 19:08.6 and Levi Sallas 115th in 19:34.4.
On the girls side, Whitewright’s Emma Russey placed 92nd in 15:06.5.
McKinney Boyd Bronco Stampede
In McKinney, the Sherman girls earned a top-10 finish at the McKinney Boyd Bronco Stampede at Myers Park.
The Lady Bearcats placed ninth with 261 points.
Lilah Smith led Sherman in 42nd at 22:32. Emily Salazar was 60th in 23:11, Violet Alva 72nd in 23:23, Elizabeth Posada 90th in 23:50 and Mayte Perez 100th in 24:08. Jasmine Ortiz placed 106th in 24:22, Natalia Quiroz 127th in 25:20 and Ralynne Segura 132nd in 25:26.
Van Alstyne’s Rayanna Dech was 51st in 22:52, Isabella Jimenez 65th in 23:18 and Jettie Brooks 95th in 23:59.
Tioga’s Noelle Furlong placed 152nd in 28:33, Kloie Lange 156th in 28:50 and Skilar Hodge 158th in 28:58.
On the boys side, Sherman placed 14th with 418 points, Denison was 20th with 553, Tioga 23rd with 617 and Van Alstyne 24th with 662.
Adrian Pachicano led Tioga in 94th at 19:07. Hayden Manzo was 116th in 19:27, Knox Dennis 165th in 20:17, Maddux Rodriguez 225th in 22:10, Bryan Santoyo-Pina 230th in 22:32, Garrison Black 237th in 23:17 and Koli Goree 238th in 23:18.

Collinsville Invitational
Whitesboro captured the girls team championship while host Collinsville finished one point shy of the boys title at the Collinsville Invitational.
The Lady Bearcats won with 30 points, edging Valley View’s 33. Collinsville was third with 94, S&S fourth with 118 and Pottsboro fifth with 127.
Nya Degraffenreed led Whitesboro with a runner-up finish in 12:11.18. Karen Melchor was fourth in 12:24.03, Loretta Vawter seventh in 12:43.99, Tammy Lopez 11th in 13:03.53 and Jasmin Hernandez 13th in 13:09.87. Paisley Blevins placed 24th in 13:57.76 and McKenna Scoggins 31st in 14:20.59.
Zoey Kays led Collinsville in 12th at 13:05.84. Paige Davidson was 19th in 13:30.93, Lynnlee Fraley-Kays 28th in 14:08.69, Genesi Valadez 35th in 14:33.52, Tucker Fairman 40th in 15:11.92 and McKinley Wright 41st in 15:21.80.

Whitewright’s Emma Russey placed 29th in 14:08.99 and Autumn Stephens was 42nd in 15:22.93.
On the boys side, Collinsville scored 39 points to finish one point behind champion Valley View. Whitesboro was third with 59 points, Whitewright fourth with 127, Tioga fifth with 143 and Gunter seventh with 171.
Fernando Perez won the individual title for Collinsville in 15:49.74. Jayden Hernandez was fourth in 16:22.70, Isaac Dewey fifth in 16:42.30 and Noah Smith ninth in 16:56.74. Jose Ramirez placed 21st in 17:29.90, River Whisenant 25th in 17:37.59, Grady Tadlock 28th in 17:39.60 and John Scott 34th in 18:34.57.
Jaxsen McBride led Whitesboro with a third-place finish in 16:15.26. Creede Newman was 11th in 16:59.83, Bentley Meals 12th in 17:05.83, Eric Flores 14th in 17:12.26 and Slade Prock 20th in 17:26.69. Chase Timulson was 30th in 18:12.50 and Jaxon Pettinga 47th in 20:15.12.

Trenton Invitational
In Trenton, the Bells boys placed third at the Trenton Invitational with 71 points, finishing behind North Hopkins (15) and Trenton (60).
Kasson Bradshaw led the Panthers with an eighth-place finish in 20:11.76. Sam Shirley was 11th in 20:43.09, Will Douglas 16th in 22:25.16, Hayden McIntyre 17th in 22:41.07, Ben Bland 34th in 25:55.52 and Hayden Copeland 40th in 27:36.17.
Tom Bean’s Curtis Thomas placed 19th in 22:53.83, Max Donihoo 33rd in 25:38.74, Jack Williams 35th in 26:05.95 and Troy Lunsford 41st in 28:39.80.
On the girls side, Murphy placed third in 13:14.83 and teammate Ruby Cabrera was 16th in 15:18.55. Kyla Hess placed 21st in 16:14.99 and Abigail McEwen was 25th in 17:04.61.
Bells’ Ava Shirley finished 10th in 14:55.23.
Braswell Invitational
In Denton, the S&S boys finished 11th at the Ray Braswell Invitational at North Lakes Park.
The Rams totaled 286 points, one behind 10th-place Pilot Point.
Rhody Gingras led S&S with a 25th-place finish in 16:57.70. Donaven Gingras was 36th in 17:13.76, Kevin Flores Valenzuela 61st in 17:38.50 and Ruben Chavez Gomez 79th in 18:02.50. Aiden Hickerson placed 111th in 18:55.75 and Matthew Flores was 112th in 18:56.10.
