WHITESBORO
The Whitesboro girls captured the team championship and the Bearcats placed fifth in the boys division at the Valley View Invitational.
The Lady Bearcats finished with 44 points to edge runner-up Holliday, which had 49.
Nya Degraffenreed led Whitesboro with a fourth-place finish in 12:11.78, while Karen Melchor was seventh in 12:22.17. Tammy Lopez placed 12th in 13:01.04, Loretta Vawter followed in 13th at 13:03.34 and Jasmin Hernandez was 15th in 13:16.61.
Paisley Blevins placed 20th in 13:38.88, McKenna Scoggins was 25th in 14:04.32, Melody Hendricks finished 31st in 14:24.02 and Sieler Hair was 39th in 14:55.92. Miranda Sandoval placed 54th in 16:08.39, Chelsea Perez was 67th in 17:41.34 and Grifyn Petinga finished 72nd in 18:33.39.
The Bearcats finished fifth in the boys standings with 105 points.
Jaxsen McBride led Whitesboro with an 11th-place finish in 16:45.29, followed by Bentley Meals in 13th at 17:07.96. Creede Newman was 22nd in 17:36.05, Slade Prock placed 29th in 17:59.12 and Eric Flores was 30th in 18:11.13.
Chase Timulson finished 45th in 19:02.92 and Jaxon Pettinga was 56th in 21:22.65.
S&S
Both S&S teams earned top-five finishes at the Valley View Invitational, with the Rams taking third in the boys division and the Lady Rams finishing fifth.
The Rams totaled 84 points behind a pair of top-10 performances from Rhody Gingras and Donaven Gingras. Rhody Gingras placed third in 16:08.30, while Donaven Gingras was ninth in 16:41.41.
Kevin Flores Valenzuela finished 18th in 17:20.14, Matthew Flores was 20th in 17:28.17, Ruben Chavez Gomez placed 36th in 18:37.74 and Aiden Hickerson was 38th in 18:44.44. Tanner Scoggins followed in 40th at 18:45.34, while Uriah Mannis was 58th in 21:56.25.
The Lady Rams finished fifth with 144 points. Dandree Meeks led S&S with an 11th-place finish in 12:54.93.
Kenzi Perry placed 33rd in 14:37.86, Ayvah Gentry was 36th in 14:51.25, Janet Chavez finished 55th in 16:14.32, Hope Everett was 61st in 17:20.44, McKinley Hollingsworth placed 63rd in 17:29.39 and Chloe Pelzel was 73rd in 18:53.01.
TIOGA
Tioga placed eighth in the boys division and had three girls compete at the Valley View Invitational.
Garrison Black paced the Bulldogs with a 19th-place finish in 17:20.99. Hayden Manzo was 26th in 17:48.19, Knox Dennis placed 43rd in 18:59.61, Maddux Rodriguez was 47th in 19:11.44 and Koli Goree finished 60th in 24:00.12.
The Bulldogs totaled 181 points.
Jillian Rodriguez led Tioga’s girls with a 24th-place finish in 13:56.81. Noelle Furlong was 56th in 16:20.64 and Kloie Lange placed 65th in 17:40.19.
TOM BEAN
Kami Poole turned in a top-10 performance for Tom Bean, while the Tomcats placed eighth in the boys division at the Pilot Point Invitational.
Poole finished eighth in the girls race with a time of 13:40.32. Karly Sprouse placed 41st in 18:55.45.
The Tomcats scored 228 points to finish eighth in the boys standings.
Curtis Thomas led Tom Bean with a 55th-place finish in 23:29.03, followed by Vernon Hulme in 58th at 23:48.20. Max Donihoo placed 61st in 24:33.94, Jack Williams was 63rd in 25:25.35 and Troy Lunsford finished 67th in 25:50.42.
WHITEWRIGHT
The Whitewright boys earned a top-10 team finish at the Sulphur Springs Invitational, placing ninth with 281 points.
Jonathan Flores led the Tigers with a 24th-place finish in 18:15, while Logan Vehar was 33rd in 18:34. Jack Philpott placed 61st in 19:14, Luke Mortensen was 81st in 19:39 and Bobby Reynolds finished 114th in 20:15. Levi Sallas followed in 117th at 20:18.
On the girls side, Emma Russey represented Whitewright and placed 71st in 14:43.
