WHITEWRIGHT
The Lady Tigers won twice during the week, sweeping Pottsboro 25-20, 25-23, 25-22 on Friday after earning a four-set victory against Dodd City on Thursday.
Julianne Trotter had 12 kills and 10 digs against Pottsboro, while Demi Lewis added nine kills, 12 digs and five aces. Aubrey Pettit totaled six kills, 25 assists and 20 digs.
Whitewright defeated Dodd City 26-24, 25-12, 15-25, 25-17. Lewis led the Lady Tigers with 16 kills, 15 digs, three blocks and three aces. Trotter finished with eight kills and 27 digs, while Pettit handed out 29 assists to go with 14 digs and three aces.
Whitewright (17-5) played Pilot Point on Tuesday. Results were not available as of press time.
S&S
The Lady Rams closed out their non-district schedule with a pair of sweeps, defeating Collinsville 25-17, 25-23, 25-19 on Friday after beating Valley View 25-14, 25-22, 26-24 earlier in the week.
Against Valley View, Bella Bennett had 15 kills and three aces, while Ryleigh Carr totaled 11 kills, two aces and two blocks. Brady Clark added eight kills and two blocks, and Rylee Garrison finished with 34 assists and three aces.
S&S (18-6) had a District 10-3A bye Tuesday and will host Blue Ridge on Friday.
COLLINSVILLE
The Lady Pirates split their two matches during the week, defeating Pilot Point 25-18, 18-25, 25-17, 25-19 on Tuesday before falling to S&S 25-17, 25-23, 25-19 on Friday.
Collinsville (12-8) played at Callisburg on Tuesday. Results were not available as of press time.
VAN ALSTYNE
Van Alstyne extended its winning streak to 12 matches Friday with a 25-15, 19-25, 25-14, 25-23 victory against Farmersville in non-district action.
The Lady Panthers improved to 23-4 and played at Tioga on Tuesday. Results were not available as of press time.
TIOGA
The Lady Bulldogs capped a busy week with a 25-12, 25-10, 25-16 sweep of Pilot Point on Friday after splitting a pair of matches in a dual at Howe earlier in the week.
Tioga defeated Whitesboro 25-21, 28-26, 17-25, 26-28, 15-9 in five sets Tuesday. Kyndall Whitley had 30 kills and 35 digs, Kennedy Slay added 18 kills and Maddy Schon collected 20 digs. Sadie Bates finished with 27 assists and 20 digs, while Ella Norwood totaled 16 assists and 16 digs.
The Lady Bulldogs opened the dual with a 26-24, 25-21, 25-19 loss to Howe. Whitley had 18 kills and 12 digs, Lindsay David put down eight kills and Slay added seven kills and three blocks. Schon totaled 12 digs, Norwood had 16 assists and 12 digs and Bates handed out 13 assists.
Tioga (24-6) played Van Alstyne on Tuesday. Results were not available as of press time.
HOWE
The Lady Bulldogs picked up a pair of victories in a home dual, defeating Tioga 26-24, 25-21, 25-19 before beating Whitesboro 25-22, 25-21.
Howe improved to 19-7 and opened District 10-3A play against Pottsboro on Tuesday. Results were not available as of press time.
WHITESBORO
The Lady Bearcats dropped both matches in a dual at Howe, falling to the host Lady Bulldogs 25-22, 25-21 before losing a five-set match to Tioga 25-21, 28-26, 17-25, 26-28, 15-9.
Whitesboro was 23-6 following the dual and later hosted Saint Jo on Friday.
TOM BEAN
Tom Bean finished a busy week by going 3-2 at the Commerce Tournament, including victories against West Mesquite, DeKalb and Omaha Paul Pewitt.
The Lady Tomcats closed tournament play with a 25-20, 21-25, 25-22 victory against West Mesquite. They also defeated DeKalb 15-25, 25-20, 25-16 and Omaha Paul Pewitt 25-23, 25-22.
Tom Bean suffered tournament losses to Greenville HomeSchool Athletics 25-21, 25-13 and host Commerce 25-15, 25-18. The Lady Tomcats also lost to Bogata Rivercrest 16-25, 25-18, 25-14.
Outside tournament play, Tom Bean swept Texoma Christian 25-12, 25-11, 25-16 before falling to Bonham 25-6, 25-5, 25-12 on Friday.

WHITEWRIGHT MIDDLE SCHOOL
Whitewright Middle School swept Dodd City in volleyball action Aug. 31, with the Lady Tigers winning both portions of the matchup.
Whitewright’s 7B team earned a 25-17, 25-17 victory. Ayin Parker led the Lady Tigers with seven aces and two kills, while Beatrice Machicado had five aces. Lily Hughes contributed four aces and two assists, Alyssa Wegley had four kills, Iva Lorentzsen added two aces and a kill and Faith Wilson finished with an ace and an assist.
Because Dodd City fielded one A team, Whitewright’s 7A and 8A teams each played a set and combined for 25-9 and 25-20 victories.
Addie Pinder had five aces and a kill, Selleck Bearss totaled two aces, two assists and a kill and AJ Shoemaker added three aces and a kill. Riley Smith had an ace and a kill, Joy Guiette finished with two aces and Charlotte Gudgel contributed an ace and three assists. Tatum Davis, Reese Claborn and Tatum Smith each had a kill.
Whitewright’s 7A and 8A teams will compete in the Sherman Middle School Tournament on Saturday.
