Residents will have another opportunity to weigh in on Whitewright’s long-term plans for growth and development during the city’s third Comprehensive Plan Town Hall on Oct. 1.
The meeting will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, at 111 W. Grand St. and is expected to serve as the final public review of the comprehensive plan before it moves toward adoption.
The town hall will provide an overview of the completed plan, including its overall vision, goals and strategies for implementation. City officials are seeking additional public feedback before the planning process moves into its next stage.
Discussion will focus on several areas expected to shape Whitewright’s future, including land use, water and sewer infrastructure, drainage, streets and housing. The meeting also will address broader themes contained in the plan.
The comprehensive plan is intended to provide a long-term framework to guide decisions as Whitewright grows and changes. The document can be used to help city leaders establish priorities and make decisions involving development, infrastructure and other community needs.
According to information provided for the town hall, organizers are encouraging residents to review and discuss the completed plan and provide feedback to help ensure it reflects the community’s priorities.
