S&S boys win Wolfe City Invitational
S&S cross country captured the boys team championship last week and Whitewright finished third at the Wolfe City Invitational.
The Rams won with 37 points, followed by Leonard with 58 and Whitewright with 88.
S&S
Rhody Gingras paced the Rams with a runner-up finish in 16 minutes, 47.60 seconds. Pioneer Technology and Arts’ Luke Bind won in 16:08.63.
Donaven Gingras added a fifth-place finish in 17:21.30 and Matthew Flores was seventh in 17:39.12. Kevin Flores Valenzuela placed 11th in 18:11.84, Ruben Chavez Gomez was 14th in 18:16.72 and Aiden Hickerson finished 32nd in 19:30.21.
The S&S girls placed sixth with 154 points, led by Dandre Meeks’ sixth-place finish in 15:04.96.
Kenzi Perry was 31st in 16:42.11, Ayvah Gentry was 50th in 17:51.53, Janet Chavez placed 70th in 18:49.98 and Hope Everett was 76th in 19:13.84. McKinley Hollingsworth finished 91st in 20:35.89, Chloe Pelzel was 96th in 21:11.01 and Abigail Brubaker placed 99th in 21:28.42.
Whitewright
Jonathan Flores led Whitewright’s third-place boys team, finishing 10th in 18:11.40.
Logan Vehar was 18th in 18:26.05, Jack Philpott placed 20th in 18:42.19 and Luke Mortensen followed in 18:56.54. Bobby Reynolds was 30th in 19:25.75 and Levi Sallas finished 36th in 20:00.65.
For the girls, Emma Russey placed 30th in 16:41.75 and Autumn Stephens was 32nd in 16:43.14.
Bells
Kasson Bradshaw led the Bells boys with a 17th-place finish in 18:25.77, while Sam Shirley was 23rd in 19:04.03.
Teagan Middleton paced the Lady Panthers with a 20th-place finish in 15:54.23. Ava Shirley was 60th in 18:10.91.
Tom Bean
Curtis Thomas paced the Tom Bean boys in 23:41.35. Max Donihoo finished 85th in 24:32.17, Jack Williams was 97th in 25:29.35 and Troy Lunsford placed 104th in 27:46.51.
Kami Poole led the Lady Tomcats with an 18th-place finish in 15:41.37. Karly Sprouse was 92nd in 20:36.33 and Macie Bearden finished 101st in 21:43.34.
Collinsville sweeps top two spots at Nocona
Collinsville won the boys championship last week and finished second in the girls standings at the Nocona Invitational at Indian Oaks Golf Course.

The Pirates scored 46 points to edge Slidell by three for the boys team championship.
Fernando Perez led Collinsville with a runner-up finish in 15:40.18. Slidell’s Cash Luig won in 15:12.30.
Jose Ramirez placed sixth in 16:04, Isaac Dewey was 10th in 16:25.71 and Jayden Hernandez finished 12th in 16:51.28.
River Whisenant added a 16th-place finish in 17:23.
Grady Tadlock was 28th in 18:26.60, Corbin Hodgkinson finished 57th in 21:05.92, Caden Germany was 59th in 21:27.47 and Stoney Sias placed 61st in 21:32.08. Jessie Smith was 63rd in 21:48.19, Kai McManigell finished 77th in 23:47.54, Nox Peterson was 79th in 24:29.16, Kingston Winchester placed 82nd in 24:51.98 and Oscar Bustos followed in 24:59.45.
The Lady Pirates scored 48 points to finish eight points behind team champion Saint Jo.
Zoey Kays led Collinsville with an eighth-place finish in 13:33.25. Paige Davidson was 10th in 13:53.44, Raelin Houk placed 12th in 14:07.58 and Lynnlee Fraley-Kays finished 19th in 14:29.13.
McKinley Wright was 30th in 15:54.06, Genesi Valadez placed 32nd in 16:01.26 and Tucker Fairman was 36th in 16:32.79. Abigail Grimsrud finished 50th in 18:13.94, Abigail Krueger was 55th in 20:11.71 and Sophia Woody placed 57th in 20:39.33.
