Collinsville - Collinsville has recently seen new business growth take shape on the downtown square. One of those businesses, Collinsville Deli, has quickly become known for its fresh, made from scratch menu and fast, casual service.
With over 20 years of experience as business owners, Reza and Alexis Anvarian are enthusiastic about bringing new things into town and creating more options for the local community. Open seven days a week, this family-owned and -operated deli focuses on serving fresh food with fast service. They slice, dice and grill their meats and create their sauces from scratch.
Salads, rice bowls, sandwiches and smoothies are all staple items on their menu with additional items like homemade soups available in the winter. Breakfast is served Monday through Friday from 7 to 10:30 a.m. with a variety of nutritious options to choose from their menu. They also offer free delivery to local businesses for large orders, making it convenient for busy workplaces and community events.
For the past two decades, the Anvarians have owned restaurant and fitness businesses. After running multiple concepts spanning from Austin to Prosper, they decided to move to Celina to raise their children. As Celina grew faster than expected, they decided to relocate to Collinsville, a small town where they saw the possibility to bring business growth and new opportunities.
According to Reza, who was a pro athlete, fighting and restaurants are all he’s ever known. His wife, also an athlete, is his business partner and together they have created a strong foundation that reflects their shared commitment to community and growth.
The couple has several more businesses planned to bring to the square in the future. In addition to the deli, they are opening Lexie Layne’s Grill, a family friendly spot described as “If Chili’s and Buffalo Wild Wings had a baby.”
They’re also launching a new 24 hour gym called Built Different Family Fitness and Built Different Sports Performance & Combat Center, drawing from the couple’s athletic backgrounds and Reza’s 20 year career as a professional fighter.
The Anvarians’ projects aim to bring new energy and community spaces to Collinsville. With the deli already thriving and more concepts on the way, they are excited to introduce new innovations to town.
