A Grayson County grand jury returned another round of felony indictments released Aug. 19, including charges of murder, aggravated robbery, sexual assault of a child, burglary, drug possession and delivery, aggravated assault and other offenses.
Among the cases, Kevin Emmanuel Kraemer, 35, of San Antonio, was indicted on charges of murder, tampering with or fabricating physical evidence with intent to impair a human corpse and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. The charges stem from an alleged June 10 incident.
Three defendants — Brandon Scott Lilley of Denison, Hailey Ann Nicole Phelps of Mesquite and Anthony Christopher Martin of Sherman — were each indicted on charges of aggravated robbery and engaging in organized criminal activity in connection with an alleged April 28 incident.
Jeremiah Dewaylon Smith of Van Alstyne was indicted on two counts of sexual assault of a child.
An indictment is a formal accusation by a grand jury and is not evidence of guilt. All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
