Masonic Lodge No. 167 installs officers, awards senior scholarships

On July 20, Whitewright Masonic Lodge No. 167 A.F. & A.M. held its 171st Installation of Officers for the 2026–2027 Masonic year. The Lodge’s officers for the coming year are as follows:
Worshipful Master — Jason Simpson

Junior Warden — Robert Magnuson
Treasurer — Josh Clouse
Secretary — C.J. Hill
Senior Deacon — Larry Jones
Junior Deacon — Case Roundtree
Senior Steward — Tobin Ross

Marshal — Eric Farley
Tiler — Brian Beazley

The Whitewright Masonic Lodge No. 167 congratulates these Brothers and thanks them for accepting the responsibilities entrusted to them. Their willingness to lead, labor and serve is sincerely appreciated.

The Lodge also extends its gratitude to the installing team and everyone who assisted with the ceremony, as well as the members and guests who joined for this important occasion.

May the coming Masonic year be marked by unity, good work and continued dedication to the principles of brotherly love, relief and truth, and to service within the Whitewright community.

Then, the following week, on July 27, Whitewright Masonic Lodge No. 167 welcomed four outstanding graduating seniors and their families for the lodge’s annual Scholarship Award presentations.

The evening began in the Fellowship Hall with a fish fry, homemade desserts and fellowship. The meal was prepared by the members of Whitewright Masonic Lodge and their families, whose contributions are appreciated in making the evening a success.

Following the meal, everyone gathered in the Lodge Room where members had the privilege of presenting the 2026 Whitewright Masonic Lodge Scholarships. Congratulations to recipients Rhett Turner from Whitewright High School and Baylen Merriman, Lorelai Vigil and Dallas Peavey, all from Tom Bean High School.

Each recipient was awarded a $1,000 scholarship to assist with their continued education. Whitewright Masonic Lodge is proud to recognize these exceptional students and invest in the future of the community.
