In the early morning hours of Monday, July 27, the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Southmayd Police Department, the Texas Department of Public Safety and several assisting agencies, responded to an alleged shooting incident along multiple locations on Highway 377.
Investigators remained on scene at a residence in the 500 block of Oxford Drive in Gordonville, where one individual was found dead as a result of the incident.
Later that morning, persons of interest were located in connection with the investigation. At that time, there was no known threat to public safety related to this incident.
As of press time and according to the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office, this remains an active investigation, and additional information will be released as it becomes appropriate to do so.
