The S&S CISD Middle School Cheerleaders spent the week of July 13–17 participating in their annual summer cheer camp as they prepare for the upcoming football season.
Throughout the week, the cheerleaders worked diligently to learn new routines that will be performed throughout the school year. The camp focused on building skills, teamwork, school spirit and preparing the squad to represent S&S CISD on the sidelines this fall.
A highlight of the week was working with choreographer Leah Frith, who created and taught routines specifically designed for the seventh and eighth grade cheerleaders. Her expertise and creativity helped the squad develop routines that showcase their talents and enthusiasm while building confidence as a team.
In addition to the work done by the cheerleaders, the team’s managers played a vital role in the success of camp. Throughout the week, they dedicated countless hours to creating posters and spirit materials for the upcoming season. Their creativity, attention to detail and hard work resulted in impressive displays that will help promote school spirit this fall. While much of their work takes place behind the scenes, their contributions are an essential part of the program’s success.
The squad was also fortunate to enjoy delicious homemade meals throughout the week, generously provided by Randy and Jacqueline Miller of Salt & Smoke. Their support and hospitality helped keep the cheerleaders energized during a busy week of practices and activities.
As camp came to a close, the S&S Middle School Cheerleaders left with new routines, stronger friendships and excitement for the season ahead. The team is looking forward to sharing their hard work with the community and supporting the Rams throughout the upcoming school year.
