Reverand Frank Alegria assumed pastoral duties at Collinsville United Methodist Church (CUMC) on Sunday, July 5.
Rev. Alegria and wife Edna (a registered nurse) have served at numerous churches of all sizes since 1988, most recently coming from Lakeway Methodist in Pottsboro.
Rev. Alegria has held a number of positions within the Texas Methodist Conference (Houston area) as well as being part of ministry alliances in other communities.
He graduated from SMU Perkins School of Theology and holds a doctorate in ministerial studies from Drew University’s Theological School in New Jersey.
“We’re honored to have Rev. Frank and Edna leading our church family. We know their wide experience and special talents will guide us as we plan activities for our new building,” a CUMC council member said.
