The Whitewright Public Library (WPL) Summer Reading Program began June 1. Using the theme “Unearth a Story,” program activities focused on dinosaurs.
Throughout the summer, the library is offering various ongoing programs, including:
Brag Tags and Beads
Pick up your themed brag tag, then each visit you’ll get a day-of-the-week bead to add. While supplies last!
Tiny Art Show
Entries on display in the library until the end of July.
Adopt-a-Dino
Pick out your dinosaur buddy and receive an adoption certificate. While supplies last!
100 Book Challenge
Color in a bookmark by reading 100 picture books or chapters. This earns a special brag tag bead, and thanks to a generous donation from Half Price Books, also allows kids to pick out a free book while supplies last.
Scavenger Hunts
Throughout the summer, search for posters in the windows of local businesses to earn a prize from the treasure chest.
Beanstack
Track your reading, review books, add friends, earn badges, and complete challenges throughout the summer for the chance to earn prizes! Visit whitewright.beanstack.com
