Parker Ranch and Farmstore: Delivering locally-sourced goods for the body and the soul
Local Business Spotlight
Owned by Rod and Suzanne Parker, the Parker Ranch and Farmstore works with other local businesses to provide home-grown products to their patrons.

Behind every business is a story. For owners Rod and Suzanne Parker, owners of the newly-opened Parker Ranch and Farmstore in Collinsville, their story is actively guided by their faith in God.

The Parkers raise their own grass-fed beef and pasture-raised chickens on their local ranch in Whitesboro. They then sell the meat and other products at their farm store off of Highway 377, right in front of their bed and breakfast barndominium.

The Parkers started out by solely providing their pasture-raised meat to family and friends. The couple began to notice how genetically modified, bioengineered and processed foods have started to become more prevalent in the food industry, as well as other products that make their way into people’s homes. After seeing all the contaminated and lab-grown food supply in grocery stores and other places, they felt a greater responsibility from God to provide clean and locally sourced items to the community.

As healing ministers, the Parkers not only want to help nourish the spirit’s well-being, but the wellness of the body in the reflection of God’s compassion and will for them. The Parkers want to help create a well, healthy environment in the body, so that anyone can be the best person they are meant to be and fulfill their God-given purpose.

The Parkers want people to know that they do not have to eat contaminated and unclean food or other toxic products; rather, with the help of other local farmers, they want to provide an alternative. Their cows and chickens are raised on chemical-free pastures, so they are eating from safe soil. The Parkers perform a process that involves a rotation of moving their cattle and chickens from pasture to pasture, allowing the chickens to naturally fertilize the land and keep the soil from being stripped of its qualities. This is to ensure that the dirt is nourishing so that their meats and produce are rich in nutrients.

Parker Ranch and Farmstore provides a variety of locally sourced and home-grown products from their own land as well as other businesses in the community.
Visitors can find items like organic vegetables, non-toxic candles, baked goods, natural spices, fresh eggs and more. The self-service farm store operates under an honor system and is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily, making clean, nourishing, quality products accessible for everyone in the community.
