North Texas Medical Center (NTMC) offers several free educational opportunities for the community during the month of June.
Diabetes Education Program
The next free Diabetes Education Program at NTMC will be on Thursday, June 11. The one-hour class is held in the hospital’s board room and begins at noon. It is a great resource for those who currently have diabetes, are pre-diabetic, or care for someone with diabetes. Guest speakers include dietitians, pharmacists and chronic care nurses. No registration is required.
Joint and Shoulder Camps
North Texas Medical Center (NTMC) offers free Joint and Shoulder Camps on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month in the NTMC Board Room. NTMC Physical Therapists teach the camps, providing information on what patients should expect before, during and after surgery. The joint camp is from 10 to 11 a.m., with the shoulder camp to follow from 11 a.m. to noon. To register for the free Joint Camp, call 940-612-8340.
Wound Care Clinic
The NTMC Wound Care Clinic is hosting a free Foot Screening on Thursday, June 11 from 2 to 4 p.m. The clinic is located inside the hospital at 1900 Hospital Blvd. Put your best foot forward and have the Wound Care team check your feet for potential issues.
