On Saturday, May 2, the Whitesboro High School (WHS) Bass Teams competed in the Texas High School Bass Association (THSBA) Regional Tournament at Possum Kingdom Lake. All WHS teams weighed in fish. Adisyn Russell and Canyon Heffley weighed in 14.22 pounds and will move on to the State Championship Tournament on Lake Texoma May 30-31.
Other results include Ayce Nelson at 6.83 pounds, Wyatt StJohn and Justin Patterson at 3.74 pounds, Andrew Hollandsworth at 3.34 pounds and Jase West at 2.44 pounds.
Angler of the Year awards were also awarded. For the second consecutive year, Russell and Heffley and their Captain Don McFarlin were the North Texas Angler of the Year Champions.
Whitesboro finished 2nd for the year in teams out of 40 high school teams in the North Texas Division. Congratulations to all on this amazing achievement!
