RICHARDSON HITS BUNCOMBE HOLE-IN-ONE
For the second week in a row, Buncombe Creek Golf’s Senior Scramble produced a hole-in-one. The event is held every Wednesday at the course.

On May 3, Ron Richardson of Whitesboro had a hole-in-one on hole No. 6, an uphill 146-yard par three. Ron teed off from the white tee box, using a seven wood, hitting a Titleist NXT ball. The pin placement is not in view from the tee box.

After walking around the green, searching for his ball, he jokingly told his team mates, “Well, it has to be in the hole,” while thinking there is no way it would be in there. After seeing his ball lying in the cup, Richardson yelled to his team mates, “It’s in there!”

The week before, the hole-in-one was made by Bill Massey of Dickson, Oklahoma on hole No. 3 a 141 par three. The two Aces came exactly one week apart and almost to the hour.
