The Valley View Kiwanis Club is pleased to announce a public Design Presentation & Community Support Forum to be held on Monday, May 11, 2026, at 6 p.m. at the John Fortenberry Community Center (101 S. Lee Street in Valley View). The purpose of this forum is to reveal the highly-anticipated final designs for the new Valley View Playground and present a clear, collaborative strategy for funding the build.

The Valley View Kiwanis Club, a service organization dedicated to the children of the community, is transitioning from the design phase to the critical implementation phase. Having finalized a state-of-the-art playground plan, the focus of this public meeting is transparency and collaborative action to overcome the final financial hurdles.

Confirmed experts in attendance will include:
• A representative from Whirlix, responsible for the blueprints.
• A professional Grant Writer to outline available funding opportunities.
• Business partners from First United Bank and Modern Woodmen Fraternal Financial.

“We are incredibly proud to show Valley View the future of play,” said Jim Miles, Playground Chair. “The design phase is complete, and the results are inspiring, but blueprints only work when we can fund the build. That’s why we’ve brought together these experts. We are offering a transparent look at the costs, the funding sources and, most importantly, the specific ways local businesses and residents can invest in this legacy project.”

The public is strongly encouraged to attend this informative session. It is an opportunity to view the future park, ask direct questions and understand how the community can work as partners to break ground and complete this vital project.
