As a 1964 graduate of Collinsville High School, I grew up reading the Sherman Democrat, and have been a daily reader of the San Antonio Express-News for over 50 years.
After my brother’s death in December 2025, his unexpired Whitesboro News-Record subscription was transferred to me in San Antonio.
I enjoy staying abreast of local North Texas happenings and have been consistently impressed with the quality of Mr. Lewter’s commentaries.
As a retired public-school teacher, I, too, greatly appreciated Mr. Lewter’s assessment of the Tioga School District’s ongoing struggles.
Texas, and our entire country, desperately need public schools dedicated to educating and nurturing EVERY student and a free, fair press with independent editors.
I am happily renewing my subscription for the second year.
