After a successful UIL season, the Whitesboro High School One-Act Play company will have its final public performance of "The Hidden Kennedy" on Monday, April 13 at 7:30 p.m.
The company competed at the area contest this week and, although they did not advance, they are the alternate for the regional contest. Additionally, they brought home several individual awards. Jace Glenn earned All-Star Crew; Matthew Stephens and Aubrey Keyes earned Honorable Mention All-Star Cast; Rip Harper earned All-Star Cast; and Layla Carey was named Best Performer.
"The Hidden Kennedy" is a heartbreaking, beautiful story about family and forgiveness. Written by David R. Remschel, the story follows the life of Rosemary Kennedy, sister of President John F. Kennedy, who was lobotomized and kept out of public view. The play follows Rosemary's life, her struggles with her disability, her family's treatment of her and her emotional journey as the "hidden" member of the Kennedy family.
Don't miss this powerful, award-winning performance at the WHS cafeteria. Admission is free.
