Lady Cats punch ticket to the post season with win over Valley View
The Whitesboro Lady Bearcat softball team beat Valley View 13-2 Friday on the road in district play.
The win was good enough to secure a playoff spot.
Avery Howerton threw a two-hitter and did not allow an earned run with 15 strikeouts and two walks. She also went 2-for-4 with a double, walked, drove in three and scored three times.
Reagan Downs went 2-for-3 with a triple, three RBIs and scored once. Breighlin Rupert and Kennadi Fuller both homered. Jenna Cole went 2-for-4 and scored once. Jacey Lunsford doubled and drove in two runs. Cameron Ortiz doubled and scored once. Fallon Perkins singled, walked and scored twice. Sydnie Duhon walked and scored three times.
The win took Whitesboro to 20-7 on the year and 7-2 in district play. They hosted Ponder on Tuesday. Results were not available as of press time.
Lady Rams blast Bells
The S&S Lady Ram softball team evened the score and avenged their lone district loss Friday night when they landed a huge 10-0 win (in five innings) over the Bells Lady Panthers.
Brooklyn Sterling went 2-for-3 with a grand slam, a double and scored twice. Hayden Mowrey threw a two-hitter with seven strikeouts and no walks. She also tripled, walked, drove in a run and scored.
Lana Walters went 2-for-3 with a double, two RBIs and scored once. Saryn Dowell went 2-for-3, drove in a run and scored once. Hayden Kight went 2-for-3. Hannah Foster had a two-run double. Brynlee Mullican singled and scored once.
The win took S&S to 21-5 on the year and 8-1 in district play. Their lone district loss came to Bells earlier in the season. They had district bye on Tuesday and will host Blue Ridge tonight.
The Lady Rams have outscored their last four opponents by a 71-1 margin. S&S ranked 23rd in the latest coaches poll. Bells dropped to 19th. This week’s state poll is as follows:

Lady Bulldogs topped by Tom Bean
The Tioga Lady Bulldog softball team dropped to Tom Bean with a 14-2 final, in six innings, in district play.
Kenzee Powers went 2-for-2 with a double, a home run and walked once. Bella Dennis went 2-for-3. Abbey Urich tripled and drove in a run. Emerson Moore singled and scored once.
Aly Salinas doubled.
The loss took Tioga to 8-14 on the year and 3-9 in district play. They traveled to Sam Rayburn on Tuesday. Results were not available as of press time.
Bearcats beaten by Boyd
The Whitesboro Bearcat baseball team fell to Boyd 7-0 Friday on the road in district play.
Brayden Johnson doubled. Parks Ramsey, Ayce Nelson and Aydan Falcon each walked.
The loss took Whitesboro to 5-14 on the year and 0-6 on district play.
They hosted Callisburg on Tuesday. Results were not available as of press time.
Pirates slap Savoy
The Collinsville Pirate baseball team came up big on Friday with a 15-0 home win over Savoy in district play.
Noe Cantu singled, drove in three and scored once. Jaxon Spivey tripled, drove in two and scored twice. Tucker Howard and Nate Hicks combined on a no-hitter with six strikeouts and a walk. Hicks also singled and scored twice.
Travis Emshoff drove in three and scored once. Caysen Schafer doubled, drove in a run and scored twice. Brandon Cantu doubled and scored once. Paxton Davidson singled and scored twice. Hayden Watson singled and drove in a run.
The win took Collinsville to 9-2 on the year and 7-2 in district play. They are still ranked fourth in the state on the latest coach’s poll. District rival Tom Bean is ranked first.
Collinsville hosted Dodd City in a double-header on Tuesday. Results were not available as of press time.
Tioga thrashed by Tom Bean
The Tioga Bulldog baseball team fell to Tom Bean Friday at home with a 17-0 final.
Calan Sweeney and Luke Roberts were both hit by pitches.
The loss took Tioga to 4-15 on the year and 1-9 in district play.

Pirates pound Tioga
The Collinsville Pirate baseball team picked up a 14-4 win, in four innings, Tuesday, March 31 on the road against Tioga in district play.
Jaxon Spivey went 3-for-5 with three RBIs and scored twice. Paxton Davidson went 2-for-3, walked, drove in two and scored twice. Caysen Schafer went 2-for-5 with a double, two RBIs and scored twice. On the mound, he did not allow an earned run on six hits with 11 strikeouts and a walk.
Rider Patterson went 2-for-4, walked and scored once. Peyton Davidson and Luke Sheppard each walked twice, drove in a run and scored once. Brandon Cantu singled and scored twice.
Keaston Worthington doubled, walked and scored once.

The Whitesboro Bearcat baseball team fell to Boyd March 31 at home with a 17-0 final, in five innings, in district play.
Wyatt Winchester and Parks Ramsey singled. Jace Bomar walked.

Rams routed by Gunter
The S&S Ram baseball team got swept by Gunter in a double header last week on the road in district play.
Game two ended after five innings with a 26-0 Gunter win.
Kyler Keller was hit by a pitch for S&S.
The loss took the Rams to 3-13 on the year and 0-8 in district play. They hosted Leonard on Tuesday. Game one ended with a 28-0 Gunter victory in five innings. In that affair, Brightin McNabb singled and Zade Zellars walked.

The Whitesboro Lady Bearcats softball team run-ruled Callisburg on March 31 with a 16-0 final, in three innings, in district play.
Kennadi Fuller went 2-for-2 with two doubles, walked, drove in five and scored once. Avery Howerton went 2-for-2 with a home run and a double, walked, drove in four and scored three times. She also threw a two-hitter with six strikeouts and no walks.

The Tioga Lady Bulldog softball team toppled Collinsville 14-4, in five innings, at home in district play.
Kyndall Whitley went 3-for-4 with a home run, six RBIs and scored three times. Kenzee Powers singled, walked twice and scored three times. Bella Dennis singled, walked and scored three times. Aly Salinas singled, walked, drove in a run and scored once. Emerson Moore singled, walked and drove in a run. Addison Snuggs went 2-for-4. Skilar Hodge singled, walked twice and scored once. Sadie Bates walked twice, drove in a run and scored once.

The S&S Lady Ram Softball team was on a hot streak going into last week’s bout against Pottsboro.
They topped Pottsboro on March 31 with an 11-1 final and clinched a playoff spot along the way.
