PARD launches RecDesk platform

Rentals, registrations, reservations, passes and memberships -- all of these are available via a new software platform used by the Whitesboro Parks and Recreation Department (PARD).

“We are excited to announce the addition of RecDesk to our department’s services,” PARD Director Penny Renfroe said. “RecDesk is a software platform designed especially for departments like ours to facilitate online registrations, schedule facilities for use, payment processing and enhanced communication with residents.”

The Whitesboro PARD began implementing the system in January, and staff are slowly building the programs and adding components.

The new online platform is a comprehensive program that enables users to interact through a mobile-optimized community portal. It can be used to manage bookings for fields, parks, pools and other facilities. Additionally, it will be used to register for events, workshops, camps and sports.

The local site can be accessed at Whitesboro.recdesk.com or through a link from the department’s website at Whitesboro.org/pard 

Current options available on the new platform include baseball field rentals, park reservations and a new recreation event, “Sporties for Shorties.”

On May 1, these services will be expanded to include registrations for summer camps, to purchase pool passes and to rent the Whitesboro Community Pool.  

Swim lessons will still require an in-person registration for the 2026 summer.

When using the RecDesk online program, users must first create an account.  Once an account is created, users will add family members. From there, users may visit areas of interest like programs, facilities or leagues.  

One useful tool is the household calendar that will reflect the activities and facilities that are booked for the family.  

The account invoice history is also easily available to track payments. Payments are made through the platform, making it a complete configuration. 

Renfroe added, “We believe this will be a great enhancement for our patrons and will assist them in using our facilities and services.  We’d appreciate any feedback from users and look forward to implementing this system on a greater level.”
