We Stand Corrected
In last week’s edition of the News-Record, we mistakenly identified a Lady Bearcat homerun hitter.
In the cutline of the lead photo on the sports page, we mistakenly IDed Breighlin Rupert for landing a homerun against Paradise.
While Rupert did have a homerun in the March 17 game, she was not the hitter in the photo.
The hitter in the photo was Avery Howerton— who also had a homerun in the same game.
We regret the error and have opted to share the correct photo of Rupert here this week.
