The North Central Texas Chorale will perform Joseph M. Martin’s radiant cantata, “A Journey to Hope”—inspired by the soul-stirring tradition of spirituals—on April 14, 2026. The performance will weave lush choral harmonies and soaring solos into a powerful story of resilience and renewal.

Hear familiar spiritual motifs transformed into fresh, cinematic textures that move from quiet reflection to triumphant affirmation.

Listeners of every background will be invited to feel, remember and celebrate together. This is more than a concert; it’s a communal experience of hope that will stay with you long after the final chord.

The concert will be at 7 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, located at 401 S. Denton Street, in Gainesville.

Tickets are available from Chorale members and will also be available at the door. Adult tickets will be $7; tickets for students and Seniors will be $5.

Under the direction of Clint Kelley, the Chorale will be accompanied by Shirley Hatfield on keyboard. Soloist for the concert will be Courtney Kelley, soprano.
