Lady Bearcats, Wildcats named to All-District team
Several local girl basketball players recently received All-District Honors for District 10-3A.
Whitesboro senior Reagan Downs and sophomore Lauren Muntz were named First Team.  
Second Team honors went to Whitesboro’s Aubree Bruce and Emma Parish as well as Callisburg’s Triniti Sullivan.  
Whitesboro’s Jentry Patterson and Kennadi Fuller received Honorable Mention along with Callisburg’s Callie Whittington, Adeline Zinski and Chloe Reed. 
Academic All-district honors went to Whitesboro’s Reagan Downs, Emma Parish, Jentry Patterson, Frida Lopez, Layla Carey, Abigail Simmons, Lauren Muntz, Kennadi Fuller and Aubree Bruce.

Lady Rams named to All-District
Three S&S Lady Rams were recently named to the District 11-3A All-District basketball team.
Freshman Bella Bennett was named to the First Team.
Second Team honors went to juniors Dandree Meeks and Kenzi Perry.

Lady Pirates claim All-District honors
After a deep playoff run, several Collinsville Lady Pirates were named to the All-District 13-2A girls basketball team.
Senior Ashleigh Ortowski was named District MVP and Scott Brandewie was named Coach of the Year.
First Team honors went to Kendall Brandewie, Reese Patterson and Jaydee Matlock. 
Second Team nods went to Paige Davidson and Zoey Kays.
Reece Elvington and Kim Perez received Honorable Mention.
Academic All-District were Kendall Brandewie, Paige Davidson, Zoey Kays, Reece Elvington, Jaydee Matlock, Ashleigh Ortowski, Reese Patterson, Kim Perez and Sydney Price.
Across the Spring Creek Bridge, Tioga Lady Bulldogs Ella Norwood and Timber Johnson got Honorable Mention All-District Honors. 
Lady Bulldogs Timber Johnson, Ella Norwood, Addy Lange, Addie Isbell, Kyndall Whitley, Skilar Hodge, Brennan Guenther, Zoey Hodge, Kloie Lange, Reese Robinson, Chloe Neal and Francesca Perez were all recognized with Academic All-District honors.

Lady Cats pound Ponder 
The Whitesboro Lady Bearcat softball team beat Ponder 15-2 Friday, in five innings, in district play.
Breighlin Rupert went 2-for-3 with a home run, three RBIs and scored twice.
Kaydence Thomas went 2-for-4 with two doubles, five RBIs and scored twice.
Avery Howerton went 3-for-4 with a home run, two RBIs and three runs. She also threw a three-hitter with six strikeouts and a walk.
Kennadi Fuller went 2-for-2 with two doubles, walked once, drove in a run and scored twice.
Cameron Ortiz went 2-for-4 with a double, drove in a run and scored once. 
Fallon Perkins homered, walked, drove in two and scored twice.
Jenna Cole walked twice and scored twice.
The win took Whitesboro to 15-7 and 3-1 in district play.
They hosted Paradise on Tuesday. Results were not available as of press time.

Lady Pirates top Dodd City
The Collinsville Lady Pirate softball team got back into the win column Friday with an 8-0 final over Dodd City, in two innings, on the road in district play. 
Kendall Brandewie doubled, drove in two and scored once. 
Hailey Germany singled, drove in a run and scored once. 
Jaydee Matlock singled, walked and scored once. 
Bailey Miller walked twice, drove in a run and scored once. 
Reece Elvington retired all three batters she faced. She also walked, drove in a run and scored twice.
Paige Davidson singled and drove in a run.
The win took Collinsville to 2-7 on the year and 1-3 in district play.
They hosted Sam Rayburn on Tuesday. Results were not available as of press time.  

Tioga ladies fall to Tom Bean
The Tioga Lady Bulldog softball team fell to Tom Bean 20-5 on Friday, in four innings, in district play. 
Bella Dennis went 3-for-3 with a triple and scored twice.
Emerson Moore went 2-for-3 with a double, drove in a run and scored once.
Aly Salinas went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and scored once. 
Addison Snuggs and Abbey Urich each singled and drove in runs.
The loss took Tioga to 6-8 on the year and 1-3 in district play.
They hosted Whitewright Tuesday. Results were not available as of press time.

Cats clipped by Ponder 
The Whitesboro Bearcat baseball team fell to Ponder 5-0 Friday at home in district play. 
Ayce Nelson doubled.
Korbin Ross singled and walked.
Andrew Quick singled.
Rhet Rudzinski walked three times.
The loss took Whitesboro to 4-7 on the year and 0-2 in district play.
They played at Pilot Point on Tuesday night. Results were not available as of press time.

Rams routed by Bells again
The S&S Rams fell to Bells for a second time in three days with a 19-1 road loss, in five innings, in district play. 
Brightin McNabb went 2-for-2 with a double and scored once. 
Ruben Chavez and Kyler Keller singled. 
The loss took S&S to 3-7 on the year and 0-2 in district play.
They played at Pottsboro on Tuesday. Results were not available as of press time.

Tioga thumped by Tom Bean
The Tioga Bulldog baseball team fell to 1-3 in district play on Friday with a 10-0 road loss to Tom Bean in six innings. 
Luke Roberts, Jaxton Dejernett, Caleb Moncrief, Logan Netterville and Maddox Hurst all singled.
The loss took Tioga 4-9 on the year. 
They hosted Whitewright on Tuesday. Results were not available as of press time.

Pirates tame Trenton 
The Collinsville Pirate baseball team bounced back after a rare district loss last week to pick up a 13-3 road win Friday over Trenton in district play. 
Jaxon Spivey went 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs. He also combined with Tucker Howard on a two-hitter with nine strikeouts and four walks.
Paxton Davidson went 2-for-4 with a home run, two RBIs and scored twice.
Luke Sheppard went 3-for-4 with a double and scored twice.
Brandon Cantu went 2-for-4, drove in a run and scored once.
Rider Patterson singled, walked, drove in a run and scored three times.
Caysen Schafer singled, drove in a run and scored twice.
Keaston Worthington doubled and drove in a run.
The win took Collinsville to 4-1 on the year and 2-1 in district play. 
They hosted Sam Rayburn Tuesday. Results were not available as of press time.

Bearcats, Pirates run well at VA
The Whitesboro Bearcat track team took fourth over the weekend with 100.75 points in the Van Alstyne Invitational. 
Collinsville was seventh with 60.75 points.
Whitesboro was led by three second-place finishes.
Wyatt Winchester was the runner-up in the 300 hurdles with a time of 40.53 seconds.
Keelan Bates was sixth in 45.02 seconds.
Winchester also placed second in the triple jump at 38 feet, seven inches.
Zander Brannan was the runner-up in the pole vault at 12 feet.
Jaxsen McBride was third in the 3,200 with a time of 10:59.89.
Jesus Hernandez Cortez was fourth in 11:08.22.
The 1,600 relay of Camron Howard, Colt Fagan, Scout Regealen and Winchester was fourth with a time of 3:29.34.
Ayden LaSalle was fourth in the shot put at 41 feet, four inches and fourth in the discus at 124 feet, five inches.
Brannan was fifth in the 800 with a time of 2:05.96.
Shayne Gabbert was sixth in 2:06.51.
Bates finished fifth in the 100 hurdles with a time of 17.88 seconds.
Howard and Aiden Brinlee tied for fifth in the high jump at five feet, eight inches.
The 800 relay of Howard, Colt Fagan, Regealen and Winchester was fifth in 1:32.98.
The 400 relay of Rhet Rudzinski, Colt Fagan, Rhett Fagan and Brinlee was sixth in 45.60 seconds.
Collinsville came away with three gold medals.
Russell Carney won the shot put with a throw of 53 feet, 10 inches and the discus at 142 feet, seven inches.
Fernando Perez won the 3,200 with a time of 10:44.89.
Jose Ramirez was fifth in 11:10.98.
Isaiah Smith was the runner-up in the 800 in 2:00.69.
Cooper McMillan took third in the discus with a throw of 127 feet, three inches.


Lady Cats take 4th at VA meet, Collinsville comes in 8th 
The Whitesboro girls track team placed fifth overall, with 86.75 points, last week at the Van Alstyne Panther Relays.
Collinsville placed eighth with 14.75 points.
Brylee Weddle led the Whitesboro effort with wins in the 100, 13.20 seconds, and the 200 in 26.82 seconds.
Alexis Barrios earned third in the shot put at 29 feet, one inch and sixth in the 100 hurdles with a time of 19.19 seconds.
Aubrey Beam was fourth in the 800 with a time of 2:36.59.
Loretta Vawter placed fourth in the pole vault at eight feet.
Jasmin Hernandez was fourth in the 3,200 with a time of 13:13.
Tammy Lopez was sixth in 13:38.37.
The 1,600 relay of Shelby Riddle, Paisley Blevins, Beam and Weddle took fourth in 4:14.17.
Barrios and Beam tied for fifth in the high jump at four feet, eight inches.
Nya Degraffenreed was sixth in the 1,600 with a time of 5:56.54.
The 400 relay of Riddle, Sam Culligan, Lauren Muntz and Ashlynn Warren was sixth in 53.98 seconds.
Weddle was also sixth in the long jump at 14 feet, four and a half inches.
Collinsville was led by the 800 relay of Ali Patterson, Jaydee Matlock, Ashleigh Ortowski and Zoey Kays taking fifth with a time of 1:55.68.
Chelsea Hernandez was sixth in the shot put at 26 feet, one inch.

Tioga teams take top 5 at Rigsby relays
The Tioga boys’ and girls’ tracks teams each had top-five finishes last week at the 50th annual Rigsby Relays hosted by Richland High School.
The Bulldogs were fifth with a total of 76 points.
The 800 relay of Justin Arrington, Noah Vazquez, Quesyn Arrington and Greeley McAden won in 1:28.70.
The 1,600 relay of Quesyn Arrington, Kyson Kirkland, McAden and Justin Arrington won in 3:23.15.
Kirkland was the runner-up in the 400 in 51.86 seconds.
Garrison Black took third in the 1,600 in 4:51.82.
Alexis Santoyo-Pina was fifth in 4:57.50.
Black was also third in the 3,200 in 10:40.24.
The 400 relay of Jaxson Hurst, McAden, Quesyn Arrington and Justin Arrington was third with a time of 42.79 seconds.
Vazquez was fifth in the 200 with a time of 24 seconds.
Kallin Henderson was fifth in the triple jump at 36 feet, nine inches.
Wyatt Smotherman was sixth at 36 feet, five inches.
Raul Chavez was sixth in the 300 hurdles with a time of 43.87 seconds.
The Lady Bulldogs took fifth with 44 points.
Kyndall Whitley was the runner-up in the 100 in 13.16 seconds.
Jillian Rodriguez was fourth in 13.34 seconds.
Rodriguez was the runner-up in the 400 in 1:03.13.
The 400 relay of Timber Johnson, Ella Norwood, Bella Dennis and Whitley took third in 50.36 seconds.
The 800 relay of Johnson, Dennis, Norwood and Maddy Schon took third in 1:49.71.
Rodriguez was fifth in the 200 with a time of 27.92 seconds and Johnson was sixth in 28.20 seconds.
Rodriguez also was fifth in the long jump at 15 feet.

Rams run at home meet
The S&S Ram track team took fourth last week at their home meet with 62 points.
They were led with two individual wins and one on a relay.
Donaven Gingras took the 800 with a time of 2:07.46 and the 1,600 in 5:06.57.
The 800 relay won with a time of 1:36.12.
The 400 relay took third with a time of 45.60 seconds.
The 1,600 relay was third in 3:53.19.
Kevin Flores took fourth in the 3,200 in 11:45.35.
Matthew Flores was fifth in 11:56.36.
Blue Hatfield finished fourth in the 100 with 12.01 seconds.
Kaiden Shields was sixth in the 300 hurdles with 47.86 seconds.
Kenny Melton was sixth in the 200 in 26.49 seconds.
The S&S girls took fourth with 62 points.
They were led by the 800 relay’s win with a time of 1:52.85.
Dandree Meeks was the runner-up in the 800 in 2:35.19 and fifth in the 1,600 in 6:00.18.
Hayden Mowrey was the runner-up in the 100 with a time of 13.68 seconds.
Novalee Adams was third at 13.80 seconds.
Hannah Foster was fourth in the 200 with a time of 30.66 seconds and Kay’Lynn Clements-Westbrook was sixth in 31.24 seconds.
The 400 relay was fourth with a time of 55.17 seconds.
Briston Graham was fourth in the 300 hurdles with a time of 1:02.26.
Kenzi Perry was fifth in the 400 with a time of 1:11.90.

Lady Rams edged by Bells
The S&S Lady Ram softball team fell to district rival Bells last week in a 4-3 walk-off. 
Hayden Mowrey went 4-for-4 with four doubles, drove in a run and scored twice.
She also allowed three earned runs on five hits with seven strikeouts and a walk.
Lana Walters went 2-for-4 and scored.
Hayden Kight was 2-for-3, walked and drove in a run.
Brooklyn Sterling singled and walked once.
Brynlee Mullican singled and drove in a run.
The loss took S&S to 15-5 on the year and 2-1 in district play. 
They had a bye on Friday before traveling to Blue Ridge on Tuesday.
Results were not available as of press time. 
The Lady Rams beat Bells in both district games last year by a combined 22-0.

Lady Pirates throttled by Tom Bean
The Collinsville Lady Pirate softball team fell to Tom Bean 15-0, in five innings, last week at home in district play. 
Jaydee Matlock went 2-for-2.
Paige Davidson walked twice.
The loss took Collinsville to 1-6 on the year and 0-2 in district play.
They traveled to Trenton on Friday night.

Lady Bulldogs drop to Honey Grove
The Tioga Lady Bulldog softball team dropped a district bout to Honey Grove at home last week with a 10-7 final. 
Sadie Bates went 3-for-4 with two RBIs.
Kyndall Whitley went 3-for-4, drove in a run and scored twice.
Kenzee Powers went 3-for-4 and scored three times.
Addison Snuggs went 2-for-4, drove in a run and scored once. 
Abbey Urich went 2-for-4 and drove in a run.
Bella Dennis tripled and drove in two runs. 
The loss took Tioga to 6-7 on the year and 1-2 in district play. 
They traveled to Tom Bean on Friday.

Pirates end district win-streak
For the first time since 2021, the Collinsville Pirate baseball team lost a district game last week. 
In doing so, they ended their 57-game district win streak last week when they fell to Tom Bean 5-1 at Celina. 
Paxton Davidson doubled and scored the lone Pirate run. 
Caysen Schafer doubled.
He also allowed an earned run on seven hits with seven strikeouts and no walks in five innings.
Jaxon Spivey and Nate Hicks each walked.
The loss took Collinsville to 3-1 on the year and 1-1 in district play.
They played at Trenton on Friday.

Tioga falls to Honey Grove
The Tioga Bulldog baseball team dropped a close one to Honey Grove last week with a 2-1 final at home in district play. 
Cameron Askew threw a four-hitter with 15 strikeouts and two walks.
Karson Stewart singled and drove in a run.
Luke Roberts singled.
Jaxton Dejernett and Calan Sweeney each walked.
The loss took Tioga to 4-8 on the year and 1-2 in district play.
They traveled to Tom Bean on Friday.

Rams routed by Bells
The S&S Ram baseball team was shutout 10-0 by Bells last week in six innings at home in district play. 
Eli Nortman, Ruben Chavez and Parker Hansen each singled.
The loss took S&S to 3-6 on the year and 0-1 in district play.
The two teams meet back up on Friday.
