Sunday evening, people gathered at the Whitesboro High School gym to enjoy Sundaes on Sunday, the WISD band program’s annual fundraiser.
Beginning at 5 p.m., attendees enjoyed performances by the Whitesboro Middle School maroon and gold bands, Whitesboro High School’s winter guard and Whitesboro High School’s symphonic band and wind ensemble.
While the event was free to attend, guests could purchase items from a bake sale as well as concessions like popcorn, cupcakes and build-your-own ice cream sundaes.
Not only was the event an opportunity for the public to see what students in the band program have been working on, but it provided a performance opportunity for the bands as they prepared for this week’s UIL contests.
