Lady Pirates topple Alvord
The Collinsville Lady Pirate basketball team sailed to a 73-19 win over Alvord Friday night at home.
In doing so, they also clinched at least a share of the district title and held onto their Top 10 state ranking in the latest coaches poll.
The win took Collinsville to 29-3 on the year and 12-1 in district play.
They ended the regular season Tuesday at Chico. Results were not available as of press time.

Lady Bulldogs beat by Lindsay
The Tioga Lady Bulldog basketball team fell to Lindsay Friday night on the road with a 55-30 final in district play.
Ella Norwood led the Bulldog effort with 11 points, eight rebounds and three assists.
Timber Johnson had nine points.
Brennan Guenther had five points and six rebounds.
Reese Robinson had eight rebounds.
The loss took Tioga to 6-25 on the year and 2-11 in district play.
They hosted Slidell on Tuesday to end the season.

Pirates pound Alvord
The Collinsville Pirate basketball team topped Alvord 75-50 at home Friday in Senior Night action.
Ryder Robinson led the attack with 18 points.
Chad Davidson had 17 points.
Jaxson Spivey added 12 points.
Caysen Schafer had 11 points.
Carter Larance had nine points.
The win took Collinsville to 17-9 on the year and 9-2 in district play.
They traveled to Chico on Tuesday. Results were not available as of press time.
Bulldogs drop to Lindsay
The Tioga Bulldog basketball team fell to Lindsay 58-48 Friday night on the road.
The loss left Tioga 11-16 on the year and 2-9 in district play.
They hosted Slidell on Tuesday. Results were not available as of press time.
Rams rout Howe
The S&S Ram basketball team defeated the Howe Bulldogs, 65-57, Friday night in district play.
Carter Ross led the attack with 16 points.
Joe Orr and Brenden Hammer each had 14 points.
Kenny Melton had seven points.
The win took S&S at 5-24 on the year and 2-8 in district play. They had a bye on Tuesday and travel to Bells tonight.
Lady Bulldog softball drops opener
The Tioga Lady Bulldog softball team opened their season earlier this week with a 12-2 loss to Pilot Point in five innings on the road.
Kenzie Powers tripled and scored once.
Bella Dennis went 2-for-2.
Aly Salinas drove in Kennedy Slay for the only other Tioga run of the night.
The Lady Bulldogs opened at Valley View Tournament Thursday.
Bearcats beaten by Boyd
The Whitesboro Bearcat basketball team fell to Boyd 59-42 last week in district action on the road.
The loss took Whitesboro to 7-20 on the year 3-6 in district play.
They were ranked sixth in the district standings going into Friday’s bye.
They hosted Valley View Tuesday for Senior Night.

Rams routed by Gunter
The S&S Ram basketball team fell to 1-8 in district play after a 60-24 home loss Feb. 3 to Gunter.
Joe Orr led the Ram effort with 10 points.
Carter Ross had seven points.
The loss left the Rams at 4-24 overall.

Pirates tame Tioga
The Collinsville Pirate basketball team topped Tioga last week on the road with a 59-47 final in district play.
After much shuffling in the district standings, the win left Collinsville at second place and looking ahead to post-season play.
Chad Davidson led the Pirate attack with 22 points.
Ryder Robinson had 17 points.
Carter Larance and Isaiah Smith both had seven points.
The win took the Pirates to 16-8 on the year and 8-1 in district play.
They hosted Slidell on Wednesday.
Ramsey Washington led the effort for Tioga with 19 points.
Zander Zafar had 10 points.
Wesley Willmon had seven points.
The loss took Tioga to 11-14 on the year and 2-7 in district play.
They hosted Era on Thursday.
Lady Cats beat Boyd, still in playoff hunt
The Whitesboro Lady Bearcat basketball team topped Boyd last week with a 43-41 final on the road in district play.
The win took Whitesboro to 14-17 on the year and 6-5 in district play.
They had a bye on Friday and hosted Valley View on Tuesday.

The Lady Bearcats can clinch a playoff spot with a win or by any loss by Boyd.
Lady Rams fall to Gunter
The S&S Lady Ram basketball team fell to Gunter 82-24 last week in District 11-3A play.
The loss took S&S to 1-23 on the year and 0-11 in district play.

Lady Pirates tear to Tioga
The Collinsville Lady Pirate basketball picked up their 11th straight win on Feb. 3 when they toppled the Tioga Lady Bulldogs 70-31 on the road in District 13-2A action.
In those 11 games, Collinsville has won by an average of 34 points and only one of those wins was by less than 19.
Ashleigh Ortowski led the Pirate attack against Tioga with 21 points.
Kendall Brandewie had 16 points.
Jaydee Matlock had 14 points.
Reese Patterson had nine points.
The win took Collinsville to 27-3 on the year and 10-1 in district play.
They hosted Slidell on Wednesday.
