The Collinsville City Council met last Wednesday in a special called meeting, the majority of which was spent in Executive Session. According to the agenda, topics of conversation in that session included City Administrator duties and oversight; building inspection requirements and certificates of occupancy, building material regulations and zoning ordinances; intergovernmental agreements and programs; and a City Planner.
Once the group reconvened in open session, it was decided City Administrator Dannielle Talley will bring back a budget amendment for the council to discuss. The council agreed to sign a contract with Eric Wilhite Planning + Design as Collinsville’s new on-call City Planner.
Lastly, the topic of city participation in the Task Force Model program, pursuant to an agreement between the City of Collinsville and the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement, a Component of the Department of Homeland Security, was tabled.
