As final grading from the Fall 2025 semester continues to come in, more local students are earning recognition at their college campuses.
At Abilene Christian University (ACU), several locals were named to the Dean’s Honor Roll for the Fall 2025 semester. Students earn Dean’s Honor Roll recognition by achieving a 3.6 or higher GPA while enrolled in at least 12 credit hours. Congratulations to the following:
Paxson Wecker of Sherman, a senior majoring in Accounting
Beckett Lytle of Gunter, a sophomore majoring in Finance
Jason Villalobos of Gunter, a sophomore majoring in Integrated Studies
Sarah Denton of Tioga, a senior majoring in Nursing
Kendall Harris of Valley View, a freshman majoring in Integrated Studies

Meanwhile, at Sam Houston State University, Collinsville’s Molly Reid was named to the President’s Honor Roll and Dean’s List of Academic Honors for the Fall 2025 semester. The students listed on the President’s Honor Roll are undergraduates who have achieved a perfect 4.0 grade point average in all work attempted while enrolled in not less than 12 semester hours. The students listed on the Dean’s List of Academic Honors are undergraduates who have achieved a grade point average of at least 3.5 out of a perfect 4.0 in all work attempted while enrolled in not less than 12 semester hours.
