Locals named to collegiate President’s, Dean’s Lists, graduation rosters

As universities around the country finalize their fall 2025 semesters, students are being recognized for academic achievements. Several area locals have been named to their respective college’s Dean’s List, President’s List and graduation rosters.

Angelo State University 
Angelo State University (ASU) in San Angelo, Texas, has announced the students achieving the Dean’s List designation for the 2025 fall semester. To be eligible for the ASU Dean’s List, full-time undergraduate students must maintain a 3.25 or better grade point average on a 4.0 scale. Local students include:

Chelsey Ross of Sherman - Social Work
Chris Long of Van Alstyne - Border and Homeland Security
Additionally, ASU conferred 652 undergraduate and graduate degrees on 644 graduates during the 2025 fall commencement exercises on Dec. 12, 2025, at the ASU Junell Center/Stephens Arena in San Angelo, Texas. Local students include:
Lisa Eddleman of Gainesville - Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies in Interdisciplinary Studies, summa cum laude
Chris Long of Van Alstyne - Bachelor of Security Studies in Border and Homeland Security,
Heather McGrew of Van Alstyne - Bachelor of Security Studies in Intelligence and Analysis, summa cum laude

South Plains College
Brady Blackmon of Lindsay, Texas, was named to the South Plains College Fall 2025 President’s List. Blackmon was among more than 400 students named to the list. To qualify, students must earn a GPA of 4.0 and complete a minimum of 12 credit hours.

Meanwhile, Krispen Baldwin of Whitesboro, Texas, was named to the South  Plains College Fall 2025 Dean’s List. Baldwin was among more than 800 students named to the list. To qualify, students must earn a GPA of 3.25 or higher and complete a minimum of 12 credit hours.

Southern New Hampshire University
Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) congratulates several students on being named to the Fall 2025 President’s List. The fall terms run from September to December. Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.700 and above for the reporting term are named to the President’s List. Full-time status is achieved by earning 12 credits over each 16-week term or paired 8-week terms grouped in fall, winter/spring and summer. Local students include:

University of Evansville 
The University of Evansville named its Fall 2025 semester Dean’s List students. To merit the honor of being placed on the Dean’s List, a student must have carried a full academic load of 12 hours or more and have earned a grade point average of 3.5 or above. Local students on this list included Nolan Gardner and Melaina Denison, both of Gainesville.

University of Wisconsin-Superior
The University of Wisconsin-Superior has named Sadler’s Kimber Kleinert to the Dean’s List for academic achievement during the Fall 2025 semester. To be named to the Dean’s List, students must have completed 12 degree-seeking semester credits and achieved at least a 3.50 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale).

Utah Tech University
Students at Utah Tech University in the fall 2025 semester demonstrated remarkable academic talent, with 951 students earning President’s List honors.
Local student Saxon Dahle from Gunter, Texas, was among those honored, earning a spot on the President’s List for the fall 2025 semester. To qualify, students had to attain a semester GPA of 3.9 or higher and complete at least 15 credits.
