Collinsville High School FFA earns Jackpot honors, prepares for annual fundraiser

On Dec. 20, members of the Collinsville High School FFA competed at the Gainesville Jackpot livestock show for the chance to win prizes.

Several students brought home awards. With their lambs, Alex Uselton placed 1st, Maddie Russell placed 2nd and Kinley Aviles placed 3rd.

Emery Bostick placed 6th with her goat, while Emerson Hodgkinson placed 3rd and Corbin Hodgkinson placed 6th with their pigs.

The Collinsville FFA and FCCLA Booster Club  will hold their annual fried fish dinner and live auction on Saturday, Feb. 7 at 6 p.m. in the high school cafeteria.

A 30-year-old tradition, this dinner is free to enjoy, but the groups will accept donations from those who chose to give.
