Whitesboro High School (WHS) is doing their part to give back to the community during the holiday season.
First, the school is asking for donations of coats and jackets for its Bearcat Closet. The Bearcat Closet at WHS is a clothing collection that students have access to whenever they need something. The items are free to the students.
As temperatures begin to drop for the winter months, the need for coats and jackets increases. Anyone with new or clean, slightly used jackets that teenage students would wear, please drop them off at the WHS office.
Also, the Student Council and Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) have kicked-off their annual “12 Days of Christmas” canned food drive. The groups are taking donations until Dec. 10 and are looking for items ranging from canned fruit and vegetables to peanut butter and dessert mixes.
Donations can be brought to room 209. As an added incentive, five canned goods equals one pajama day.
