Sleigh Bells & Spice Bowls event slated for Tioga ISD

Sleigh Bells & Spice Bowls event slated for Tioga ISD

The public is invited to a holiday concert and dinner featuring Tioga ISD bands next week.

The inaugural installment of Sleigh Bells & Spice Bowls is slated for 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 11 in the Tioga High School Cafeteria.

The evening will include holiday music from sixth grade beginner band, the junior high band and the Toga High School Bulldog Band.

Dinner will be available for $10 a plate and will include a chili and baked potato supper sponsored by the Tioga High School Band Booster Club.

Dinner will start at 6 p.m. with the concert kicking off at 7 p.m.

While dinner will be $10 per person for chili and a baked potato, you need not purchase dinner to enjoy the concert.

“We hope to make this a new holiday tradition at Tioga,” band director Jesse Speer said. “These students have been working incredibly hard, and I am excited for them to feature their talents for the community.”

A variety of types of chili will be prepared by booster club parents and the Tioga FCCLA chapter is on hand to assist with food prep.

All proceeds will benefit the Band Booster Club.

“This is a fun way to celebrate our kids and have a meal together as a community,” booster club president Austin Lewter said. “We appreciate the public support and recognizing the incredible talent right here at Tioga ISD and, besides, where else can you get dinner and a concert for 10 bucks? We hope to see you there.”
