This Saturday, House of Brews in Whitesboro will host another Local Authors Book Signing. From 10 a.m. to noon, the community is encouraged to come and meet local author Tammy Osburn Oveross.
A retired teacher who lives in Whitesboro, Oveross published her first children’s book, “Cucumbers to Pickles,” in 2024. This book (and others she’s currently working on) center around the grandparent/grandchild relationship and country living.
Oveross wrote this rhyming book and had it published as a poem 50 years ago while watching her grandmother make pickles in her Pilot Point home. Now, complete with beautiful illustrations, the poem has become a book that is available for purchase on Amazon, Walmart.com and other retail sites.
The book would make a great gift this holiday season. Signed copies are available at Urban Junkie and Hometown Pharmacy in Whitesboro, or you can purchase a copy on-site and have it signed at Saturday’s event.
