The Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce (GACC) is thrilled to invite the community out for the 91st Annual Christmas Parade, an unforgettable evening scheduled to roll through Downtown Gainesville on Thursday, Dec. 4, 2025, at 6 p.m.
This year’s festive theme, “Journey to the North Pole,” promises to light up California Street as participants make their way from the Santa Fe Depot to Weaver Street. With over 50 entries already busy crafting magnificent floats, the parade is set to deliver an incredible display of Christmas lights and creativity for the entire community.
“We hope everyone has been extra nice this year because Santa will be joining us once again to light the Christmas tree at the courthouse as he cruises by,” said Jennifer Shumate, GACC President/CEO.
Families looking to catch a glimpse of the holiday magic can find prime viewing spots along both sides of California Street, starting from Lindsay Street all the way to Weaver Street.
Attendees are encouraged to arrive at least 30 minutes early to secure a great viewing location. After the parade, Santa and Mrs. Claus will be making a special stop at the Farmers Market to take pictures with anyone wishing to capture a magical memory.
Join the Chamber and the community at an event that will light up Gainesville and celebrate the joy of the holiday season!
