The Collinsville Pirates won their fourth straight Bi-district Championship last week with a 51-21 win over Roscoe. They face Wheeler in the area round tonight at 7:30 p.m.

Bearcats end season in bi-district round 
The Whitesboro Bearcats ended their playoff run early with a 61-55 loss to Whitney last week at Irving’s Ellis Stadium in the bi-district. 

Quarterback Colt Fagan went 22-of-35 passing for 370 yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions.

He also had 11 carries for 104 yards and two touchdowns and a 10-yard TD catch.

Senior Mason Scarbrough rushed eight times for 102 yards and a touchdown.

He also caught seven passes for 46 yards.

Camron Howard had 116 yards and a TD on five catches. 

He also had a touchdown pass.

Ian Bruce had six catches for 96 yards and a score. 

Shayne Gabbert and Wyatt Winchester both had touchdown catches.

The Bearcats ended the year 5-6 after finishing the regular season in fourth place.

It was a shootout, with both teams combining for 11 touchdowns in the second half.

Lady Cats down Gainesville
The Whitesboro Lady Bearcat basketball team topped Gainesville 40-16 Friday night at home.

Reagan Downs led the attack with11 points, eight rebounds and three steals.

Lauren Muntz had seven points, eight rebounds and four assists.

Layla Carey landed seven points.

Aubree Bruce had six points and 11 rebounds.

The win took Whitesboro to 2-1 on the year.

They traveled to Van Alstyne Tuesday night. Results were not available as of press time.

Pirates pound Roscoe
The Collinsville Pirates topped Roscoe 51-21 Friday night and, in doing so, notched their fourth bi-district championship in a row.

Paxton Davidson went 25-of-35 passing for 364 yards and four touchdowns.

He also ran six times for 67 yards and landed a 20-yard catch.

Chase Sheppard ran five times for 76 yards and two TDs.

He also had three catches for 68 yards.

Chad Davidson had two catches 65 yards and a score. 

He also returned a kickoff 90 yards for a TD.

Jaxon Spivey had seven catches for 58 yards and two TDs.

Carter Larance had two catches for 56 yards and a score.

Landry Spivey had five catches for 50 yards.

Brandon Cantu had 11 carries for 47 yards.

The win took Collinsville to 9-2 on the year.

The meet Wheeler in the area round tonight at 7:30 p.m. at Iowa Park.

This is the third year in a row that Collinsville has eliminated Roscoe from the post season.

Tioga falls to Hamilton
The Tioga Bulldogs rallied in the first quarter but came up short Friday with a 42-20 loss to Hamilton in the bi-district round at Godley. 

Jaxson Hurst led the effort with four carries for 96 yards and a touchdown.

He also had eight catches for 124 yards.

Justin Arrington had seven catches for 72 yards and two touchdowns.

He also rushed three times for 19 yards.

Kyson Kirkland went 14-of-20 passing for 191 yards, a touchdown and an interception.

Caden Downing went 4-of-6 passing for 54 yards and a TD.

He also had six carries for 42 yards.

Jake David had two catches for 49 yards for Tioga

The Bulldogs ended the year 5-5.

Hamilton advanced to 9-2 on the year and faces Corsicana Mildred tonight in the area round.

Lady Pirates take out Whitesboro
The Collinsville Lady Pirate basketball team opened their season with a huge 65-21 home win over Whitesboro Tuesday, Nov. 11 in non-district action. 

Kendall Brandewie led the Pirate attack with 29 points.

Jaydee Matlock had 14 points.

Ashleigh Ortowski was close behind with 12 points.

They went to play at Celeste on Tuesday. Results were not available as of press time. 

Lauren Muntz led the Bearcat effort with five points and seven rebounds.

Reagan Downs had four points, six rebounds and three steals.

Emma Parish landed nine rebounds.

Aubree Bruce chipped in seven rebounds.

The loss took Whitesboro to 1-1 on the year. They hosted Gainesville on Friday.
