Collinsville’s annual “Christmas On the Square” event is just around the corner! On Dec. 2 from 6-8 p.m., bring your friends and family (especially the children) to Collinsville’s downtown square to enjoy the spirit of the season.
This is a giving back, free of charge event. Merchants and organizations will be serving Christmas cheer with candy, snacks, drinks, toys, games and many other give-aways. Anyone who would like to participate by sharing a treat, hosting a drawing or gifting another item to attendees who visit your table are encouraged to join us. Please contact Karen Parker at 940-372-9037 or Gigi Cox at 903-815-3921 to confirm what you plan to bring.
This year’s event will include the Toy/Dessert Walk, the Cookie Decorating Station open for children and carriage rides. The Collinsville Fire Department will bring Santa and Mrs. Claus into town in the big, red fire truck right after the Christmas tree lighting. Be sure to bring your camera to take pictures of your kids with the Clauses. Live holiday music will be provided by Paul Terrell. All raffle drawings will be held at 7:30 p.m. Attendees must be present to win.
The Collinsville United Methodist Church will be offering their annual Chili Supper, but this year’s location will be inside The Manor on Main, next to Virginia Station.
This event is free for the public and sponsored by the Collinsville Area Chamber of Commerce, the Collinsville Economic Development Corporation (CEDC) and the Collinsville Industrial Development Corporation (CIDC).
