Cats clip Madison 
The Whitesboro Bearcats remained perfect in district play Friday after a 62-33 homecoming win over Dallas Madison. 
Colt Fagan went 13-of-19 passing for 225 yards and two TDs. 
He also rushed 11 times for 56 yards and three TDs.
Scout Regalean had seven carries for 191 yards and a score. 
Justin Knight had 15 carries for 72 yards and a TD.
Mason Scarbrough had five catches for 60 yards and a score.
The also found paydirt on the ground.
Ian Bruce landed a 41-yard touch catch.
Wyatt Winchester had three catches for 82 yards.
Camron Howard had four catches for 42 yards.
Rip Harper had a touchdown run. 
The Bearcats adjusted at halftime to put up 28 straight points in the second half — turning a one-point margin into an easy lead. 
Whitesboro put the finishing touches on the victory when Harper scored from seven yards out in the final seconds.
The win took Whitesboro to 4-2 on the year and 2-0 in district. 
They travel to Palmer tonight

Pirates open district with a big win 
The Collinsville Pirates opened district play Friday with a 42-7 homecoming win over Chico.
Paxton Davidson went 12-of-14 passing for 299 yards and touchdowns.
Chase Sheppard had three carries for 54 yards and a TD. 
Trent Stewart had a 73-yard TD catch.
Caysen Schafer landed a 58-yard touchdown catch.
Chad Davidson had two catches for 64 yards and a TD. 
Carter Larance and Jaxon Spivey both had touchdown catches as well.
The Pirates scored on six of their first seven possessions.
They led 35-0 at the half. 
Collinsville scored one more time on the opening drive of the third quarter when Paxton Davidson threw for a fifth touchdown— this on an eight-yard toss to Spivey.
Six different Pirates had touchdowns.
The win took Collinsville to 5-1 on the year and 1-0 in district.
They travel to Lindsay tonight.

Tioga thrashes Tigers 
The Tioga bulldogs muscled their way to a 73-6 district win over the Whitewright Tigers Friday at home in district play. 
Greeley McAden went 18-of-23 passing for 402 yards, six touchdowns and an interception.
He also ran four times for 116 yards and a TD.
Jaxson Hurst had seven catches for 170 yards and four TDs.
Justin Arrington had three catches for 86 yards and a touchdown.
Jonathan Hernandez had three carries for 36 yards and a score.
He also had two catches for 49 yards.
Jayson Stogner rushed for 43 yards and a TD on three carries.
Jaxton Dejernett had a TD catch.
Quesyn Arrington returned a punt for paydirt. 
The win took Tioga to 3-3 on the year and 2-1 in district play. 
They have a bye tonight before playing at Alvord on Oct. 24.

Lady Pirates tame Tom Bean
The Collinsville Lady Pirate volleyball team swept Tom Bean 25-14, 25-15, 25-19 Friday at home in district play. 
Kendall Brandewie led the attack with 11 kills.
Jaydee Matlock had nine kills.
Ali Patterson had five kills.
Reece Elvington landed four kills and six digs.
Paige Davidson had 18 assists.
Ashleigh Ortowski had 10 assists.
Reese Patterson had 11 digs.
The win took Collinsville to 24-10 on the year and 5-1 in district play.
They hosted Trenton on Tuesday night.

Lady Rams pound Pottsboro
The S&S Lady Ram volleyball team swept Pottsboro 25-13, 25-16, 26-24 Friday at home in district action.
Emily Bullard led the attack with 10 kills and four aces.
Brady Clark and Brooklyn Sterling each had eight kills.
Addy Russell had four aces.
Rylee Garrison had 24 assists.
Lana Walters had 15 digs.
The win took S&S to 21-16 on the year and 4-5 in district play. 
They traveled to Blue Ridge Tuesday.

Tioga takes Trenton
The Tioga Lady Bulldog volleyball team bounced back from a loss to Whitewright last week to sweep Trenton 25-13, 25-10, 25-21 Friday on the road.
Kennedy Slay led the attack with 13 kills and eight digs.
Kyndall Whitley had 11 kills, four aces and 17 digs.
Sadie Bates had 21 assists and nine digs.
Bella Dennis had 14 digs.
The win took Tioga to 26-7 on the year and 5-1 in district. 
They traveled to Sam Rayburn on Tuesday night.

Whitesboro runners make regionals
The Whitesboro girls’ cross country team captured the District 10-3A cross-country title on Thursday at Boyd High School.
The boys took third to also advance to the regional meet.
The Lady Bearcats won the team district title with 41 points.
Senior Brylee Weddle led the attack with a fourth-place finish in 11:59.30.
Senior Aubrey Beam was sixth in 12:08.25.
Freshman Nya Degrafenreed was eighth in 12:10.31.
Sophomore Paisley Blevins was 11th in 12:30.88.
Sophomore Karen Melchor was right behind in 12:32.01.
Junior Jasmin Hernandez was 18th in 13:00.93.
Junior Tammy Lopez was right behind in 13:03.43.
The Whitesboro boys were third with 83 points.
Sophomore Jaxsen McBride led the attack with a time of 17:52.04 to take 10th.
Senior Jesus Hernandez-Cortez was 11th in 17:57.63.
Sophomore Bentley Meals took 15th in 18:21.66.
Senior Aidan Brinlee placed 23rd in 19:18.40.
Junior Jayden Jobert was 26th in 19:26.59.
Sophomore Chase Timulson was 27th in 19:29.64.
Senior Zander Brannan was 28th in 19:35.35.
The 3A Region II meet will be held Oct. 20 at Harold Patterson Sports Complex in Arlington.

Rams to run at Regionals 
The S&S boys’ cross country team advanced to the regional meet last week after running in the District 11-3A race at Pecan Grove Park.
S&S junior Dandree Meeks qualified for regionals as well, along with Gunter senior Micah Fisher on the girls’ side and Gunter senior Justin Kriechbaum on the boys’ side.
The S&S girls finished fifth with 113 points. 
Meeks led S&S with a runner-up finish in 13:31.08.
Junior Kenzi Perry was 19th in 15:32.86.
Sophomore Ayvah Gentry was 27th in 16:10.13.
Junior Lillian Vickery was 36th in 17:28.99.
Freshman Taylnn Williams was 39th in 19:51.75.
The S&S boys took runner-up with 53 points. 
Junior Donaven Gingras led the attack with a fourth-place finish in 18:22.48.
Kevin Flores was ninth in 19:07.20.
Junior Matthew Flores was 13th in 19:37.80.
Sophomore Aiden Hickerson was 17th in 19:57.97.
Freshman Tanner Scoggins was 19th in 20:22.30.
Freshman Uriah Mannis was 26th in 20:55.57.
Sophomore Brenden Hammer was 27th in 20:58.83.
The 3A Region II meet will be held Oct. 20 at Harold Patterson Sports Complex in Arlington.

Lady Cats sweep Pilot Point 
The Whitesboro Lady Bearcat volleyball team swept Pilot Point, 25-18, 25-16, 25-17, at home on Tuesday, Oct. 7 in district 10-3A action.
Madison Pokluda, Cashtyn Wolf, Landry Trammell, Karina Riddle and Emma Parish led the attack for Whitesboro.
Whitesboro came out in Game 3 with an 8-0 run on kills from Trammell and Wolf.
Smith sealed the deal with a kill.
The win took Whitesboro to 25-13 on the year and 4-4 in district play where they are currently fourth in the standings. 
They had a district bye on Friday and hosted Boyd on Tuesday.

Lady Pirates top Sam Rayburn
The Collinsville Lady Pirate volleyball team advanced to 4-1 in district play Tuesday, Oct. 4 when they swept Sam Rayburn 25-17, 25-10, 25-7 at home. 
Jaydee Matlock led the Pirate attack with 11 kills.
Kendall Brandewie had 10 kills and seven digs.
Ashleigh Ortowski and Ali Patterson had five kills.
Paige Davidson had 28 assists.
Reese Patterson had six digs and three aces.
The win took Collinsville to 23-10 on the year and into a three-way tie for first place in district. 
They hosted Tom Bean on Friday.

Lady Rams beat Bells
The S&S Lady Ram volleyball team topped Bells in five sets, 25-18, 27-25, 10-25, 17-25, 15-11, Tuesday, Oct. 7 on the road in district play. 
Emily Bullard led the Ram attack with 19 kills and three blocks.
Brady Clark had 11 kills and four blocks.
Brooklyn Sterling had nine kills and 12 digs.
Addy Russell landed six aces.
Lola Morrow had four kills and three blocks.
Rylee Garrison had 41 assists and 11 digs.
Lana Walters had 20 digs.
The win took S&S to 20-16 on the year and 3-5 in district play. 
They hosted Pottsboro on Friday.

Lady Dogs lose to Tigers
The Tioga Lady Bulldog volleyball team fell to 4-1 in district play last week after being swept by Whitewright on the road. 
The 27-25, 25-19, 25-19 loss set up a three-way tie atop the district standings.
Tioga went to 25-7 on the year.
They played at Trenton on Friday.
