SAM WATSON SUBSCRIBED TO PAPER 63 YEARS AGO
Unless somebody shows up who was a subscriber to the Whitesboro News-Record before 1902, the honor of being the champion long-time subscriber to this newspaper goes to Sam Watson, who lives at 618 North Union Street.

That makes 63 years that Mr. Watson has been a continuous subscriber and reader of the newspaper. Anyone who can claim a longer record than that deserves a gold medal.

Not only has Mr. Watson been a subscriber himself for this long time, but he delivered the News-Record to other subscribers for much of that time.

For 47 years, he was a rural mail carrier out of Whitesboro.
