Last weekend was a big milestone for two local Whitesboro businesses.
Jennifer Gaither and Joy Lopardo celebrated the new location of their beauty salon, Hippie Ki Yay Hair & Wax Studio, with an open house reception last Friday evening.
Previously located in downtown Whitesboro, the salon hosted a “Vibe Check” from 5-7 p.m. inviting the community to come enjoy wine and charcuterie and see their new set-up at 515 N. Union Street (Suite B) in Whitesboro.
From hair cuts and color to face and body waxing, Hippie Ki Yay provides beauty services in a comfortable, relaxed, drama-free atmosphere. Call (512) 971-6305 or message them on Facebook to schedule an appointment.
Meanwhile, Hayes’s Florist announced the opening of their new location on Main Street.
Owned by James and Billie Jean Hayes, the flower shop had been located on N. Union Street since its initial opening last October.
The new location at 127 E. Main Street officially opened Monday, Oct. 6. Just a few doors down from where James owned the Nosegay Florist years ago, the new spot for Hayes’s Florist features a huge walk-in cooler for fresh-cut flowers, a large work space in the back and a beautiful showroom to display flowers, plants, food items and gifts.
A grand opening will occur later this year, but for now, feel free to stop by to see the new shop or place an order at 903-564-9141 or www.hayessflorist.com

At right, Jenny Dufour, James and Billie Jean Hayes and Bobbie Erwin look forward to welcoming folks to their new location at 127 E. Main Street in downtown Whitesboro.
