Locals among UT Austin’s summer ‘25 graduates

More than 1,600 students received undergraduate, masters or doctoral degrees from The University of Texas at Austin in Summer 2025.

Van Alstyne’s Elizabeth Krusing graduated with a Master of Education in in Special Education and Charlotte Thomas graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in in Health and Society.

Many summer graduates joined the university-wide commencement ceremonies in May, marking the occasion with the broader UT Austin community.

During the 2024-2025 academic year, which ended in August, UT conferred a record 16,036 degrees. The record is attributed to the University’s all-time highs for first-year student retention and four-year graduation rates.
